What style of music do you play when you’re upset? The kind of music that has an upbeat rhythm and where I can belt out the lyrics. Country Pop like Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift usually works for me.

What’s one thing you miss from your childhood? My brother and sister being in the same house together as I am. Now that they both have their own families, they live separately (especially my brother who has been abroad for over 10 years now). I just feel like I don’t spend quite as much time with them as I used to and we are not as aware of what’s happening in each other’s lives.

Is home where the heart is or the heart where home is? Definitely home is where the heart is.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? This probably won’t sound interesting but... I picture myself married with 2 young kids, possibly quitting my regular 8-5 job and be a stay at home mom with perhaps a less hectic job (like freelance work or half day preschool teacher or even tutoring elderly people to use gadgets).

Do you want kids? (wow now this sounds like an online dating profile lol) Yes, actually! 2 would be the ideal number. I would love to adopt but... I think it’s gonna be hard.

Do you like to take chances, even when it means jumping head first into the drop off? Not sure if this is the same thing but I’m very impulsive. If I have a lot of time at hand, I’ll analyze the crap about a decision and all the possible risk and stuff. But if I don’t have time, I’d just go like screw it, I’m doing what I want, I’ll survive the consequences. (More because I’m impatient than brave tbh).

ugh, I always have to google this but I’m lazy now so 169cm. 2. What color and style is your hair?

A sort of dark reddish brown, style? what style? LOL. just long and naturally wavy.

3. What color are your eyes?

Regina brown but wee bit darker.

4. Do you wear glasses?

Occasionally when I look at the screen or when I’m driving.

5. Do you wear braces?

I used to and then I removed them and didn’t put on my retainer because i’m stupid and lazy af and now my teeth are crooked again.

Style? What style? hehe.. my style is “whatever left in my closet that is ironed” and comfortable. I favor a simple tee and jeans. I also like layers, but I stay in Malaysia which is like summer for 365 days and impossible not to sweat so it’s not practical at all.

Malaysia. Born and raised and never left.

An older sister and an older brother.

Did. I’m an adult. A Mandarin Chinese ed school? meaning we learn all subjects in Malay (our national language) and 3 language subjects -> Malay, English and Mandarin Chinese.

13. What kind of student are you?

Hmmm... I was quite different in school vs college so it really depends on which you are asking. Most of my time in Primary/High school, I hardly pay attention in class (except for the classes I do care about or if I liked the teacher) and never hand in my homework unless absolutely necessary. In college, I took my course waaayyyyy more seriously. I paid 100% attention in classes, completed all assignments, studied, and was the top 2nd in my course batch.

14. Do you like school?

I like school for the friends and environment but not overly happy about learning in school.

15. What are your favorite school subjects?

English. Art. Physical Ed when I get to play baseball and basketball. Economics. (stuff that doesn’t involve alot of studying basically)

OUAT, FRIENDS, Gilmore Girls.

Yes. (I also happen to know roughly when :P) If I had the choice (which I don’t because I’m poor and so many other reasons), I would love to have a beautiful church wedding or perhaps a garden wedding (like my sister’s or my brother’s).

How I almost killed my best friend

So Lindsay ( foreveroutlawqueen ) ask me to share a crazy story from childhood in the 11 questions thingy and this went on long, so I made a separate post.

So the crazy story goes like this. You have to understand that I’m basically known as the protected species. My maternal grandma used to be our babysitter when my parents are working. And she used to be raised in a very “military” way. So she raised us in the same way. She is paranoid af about everyone and everything too so it makes it worse. She used to ban us from opening the fridge. We are not allowed upstairs except during bedtime (because who knows what we are doing without her supervision). We are not allowed to give anyone our house phone numbers (so my friends does NOT contact me at all outside of school). Nobody gets invited over. We do not attend parties or frivolous things like that. We are not allowed to watch tv (because it breeds an unhealthy obsessions - which would lead me to spending all my savings on going to europe and meeting my internet friends and celebrities who didn’t know I exist). Hey, I said she was strict but she’s not wrong. LOL. SO ANYWAY (I swear these are all relevent).

This happened when I was 11. One day, she went away for a few hours (I can’t remember why tbh). But all I remembered was FREEDOM OMG I CAN ACTUALLY HAVE HOURS OF FREEDOM. So, I invited my best friend over to play monopoly upstairs (lol, this is such a back in the day thing oh gosh, when there’s no mobile phones and monopoly is the best game ever.) and this is monopoly on the computer HAHAHA. And we were having a great time until WE HEARD VOICES. My maternal grandma is back. And guess what, MY PATERNAL GRANDMA IS WITH HER. And we were FREAKING OUT. Because I broke so many rules (1. went upstairs without her approval. 2. switching on the computer without her approval. 3. inviting a friend over. 4. Inviting a friend over when NOBODY else is in the house (WHAT IF PEOPLE HAD KIDNAPPED YOU) 5. INVITING A BOY OVER (OMG IS THAT YOUR BOYFRIEND NO GRANDMA CHILL FOR 2 SECONDS PLEASE) 5. INVITING A BOY OVER AND GOING UPSTAIRS TOGETHER WHEN NOBODY IS IN THE HOUSE (NO GRANDMA WE ARE NOT DOING SEXY THINGS OR SMOKING OR DOING DRUGS WE ARE JUST PLAYING MONOPOLY BECAUSE IT IS COOL AND WE LIKE IT OKAY PLEASE DONT CALL THE COPS)

and you’re probably thinking well, that’s crappy but oh well, guess you’re grounded. OH HONEY. Grounded doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m a Malaysian Chinese. I was living a grounded life already even when I’m on best behavior. I was caned because I didn’t finish the food or water she gave me to bring to school. THIS IS SERIOUS. I was PANICKING. And this friend of mine HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS IN FOR. He was suggesting to come clean and just deal with the consequences. I’m like NO DUDE NO YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND YOU DEAD. So, at this point, I have successfully freaked HIM out and we have to figure how to get him out of the house before my grandma starts to wonder where I am. (She is in what I assume is a fascinating conversation with my other grandma and is preoccupied at this point THANK THE HEAVENS) and then it hit me. I have an idea!

CLIMB OUT THE WINDOW INTO THE BALCONY, WALK ACROSS THE ROOF NINJA STYLE AND USE CAT LIKE REFLEXES TO JUMP AND LAND ON THE GROUND FLOOR! IT’S THAT SIMPLE! He doesn’t agree. Crap. He thinks I’m crazy. (YOU MAD I’M GONNA DIE) I think he'a a wuss. (Hey, EVERYONE does it in the movies! It’s doable!) Finally, he won (only because I couldn’t push him out the window. Or because I was worried he’ll fall to his death and I’ll have to explain why a dead boy is lying on my lawn).

Now, both of my grandmothers have moved the conversation to the kitchen (we have a closed kitchen). WE HAVE FOUND AN OPENING. So, we tip toed down the stairs (avoiding the step that creaks) past the dining room and living room as he scrambles for his life. (Away from me than my grandma at this point.) And I walked into the kitchen like everything is fine and I didn’t just broke all the rules and almost accidentally killing my best friend.

TLDR; Grandma runs a tight ship. Invited a boy over. Grandma comes back. Suggested boy to turn into ninja. Boy refused. Managed to slip away without grandma’s noticed. Everyone survived unscathed.
