They are 2NE1. My first and only favorite girlgroup. There is none like them. Like what they said in their song : they are the best. When most of girlgroup trying to act cute or sexy, they have their own distinct style which could not be imitated by another girlgroup. Each of the member has their own important role in the group : CL’s majestic charisma, Minzy’s powerful move, Bom’s unique voice, and Dara’s cute impression. Their fierce-ness and independence are influencing me a lot. I’m one of their huge fan since 2010, when they release song titled “I Don’t Care”. Their first album “To Anyone” was a great success. Ever since, i fall for every single song they released.
Everything is perfect until in 2014, Bom has to face a scandal and decided to take a break. After that, CL is busy because of her solo debut in US and Dara become an actress, while Minzy and Bom are somewhere unknown. I could already tell something fishy are going on. But i always keep the faith that someday they will comeback greatly.
So it’s a huge shock when last year Minzy decided to discontinue her contract with YG Entertaiment. And finally, at the end of 2016, 2NE1 is officially disbanded.
It brokes my heart to pieces.
But what can i do other than pray for their success in the future, no matter what will they do individually. I will always support and love their future career.
So thank you 2NE1, i will always remember you.
