when I was in HS I thought it was black and white: I focused on the most standout professions; drs stood out to me because they help people and what not. But now I kinda wanna do more than just be learning about anatomy and diagnosing. I see how you feel about blaming your parents. I don’t get much motivation around here either :/ Just be positive and yes it’s a victory that you decided to stay away from ppl that bring you down. :)

Well at least you have something that stands out. I guess with school, of course it takes time before you actually get to use all this knowledge to help others.

My parents never told me my options, just told me I could be literally whatever I wanted. Nodded and was like "yeah that's cool too." Nothing ever serious. So I guess I wasted high school by not caring about one thing.

You are right, if I just keep looking out for myself, it should get better. Thanks Diana, you are so awesome. I really appreciate that.

it takes time to know really. like sometimes I wake up thinking I’ll make to med school then I watch some greenpeace related movie and all of a sudden I want to part of the movement. it’ll come to you. :)

I hope so. It's just so hard, ya know? I mean, you knew you wanted to go to med school since high school? I guess it's dumb for me to blame it on my parents for never really pushing me. Can I claim a small victory for knowing that I don't want to waste my time on people who bring me down? I know it's dumb, but I don't know how to let the small victories help build up my confidence. Well at least you can always have something on the side, if you have time, to do. Just don't be one of those GreenPeace people on the street trying to get people's attentions. That would make me sad, like I know you can do so much good. You are awesome.
