#YoungerTV. Admittedly, I tried my best to hold this off because this was one series that I will forever love and keep going back to. But now, it's time to put it to rest. When Younger first premiered in 2015, I was solely in it for Hilary Duff. What drove my curiosity further back then was also the plot -- it was about a 40-year-old mom who tries to pass herself off as 26 to get another shot at life in publishing. I was immediately sold because how could that even be possible, right? And also, publishing. Since then, season after season, as Liza Miller's (Sutton Foster) secret started to unravel from one person to another, you'd think that all of a sudden they'd run out of material. But they certainly did not. Apart from Liza, you also get to know the other characters like Maggie (Debi Mazar), Josh (Nico Tortorella), Kelsey (Duff), Diana (Miriam Shor), Charles (Peter Hermann), and Lauren (Molly Bernard). What rich stories they all have and what a talented cast! Younger was the series that you could binge watch two to three seasons at a time and it won't go stale. In a little over 20 minutes per episode, they are able to give you a great storyline that would keep you hungry for more. Whether it's Liza's secret, her relationship with Josh and Charles, Kelsey's growth, Maggie's friendship, or even Diana's crazy antics and over the top necklaces, they always manage to keep things fresh, light, yet very impactful and engaging. I'm praising the series a lot, but it is what it is. It's a show that's not difficult to love. The humour is smart, but not in an obnoxious way. It's also impressive how the writers are able to inject these nuances in the script like little indicators of Liza's real age, how she navigates through the sea of working Millennials, even the real life references. You also see how the dynamics change once the secret was out but it never went downhill even until the finale where it all came full circle. Younger is special. Did it romanticize publishing? Maybe. But it made for a good show, and an awesome one at that. I love Younger and everything it stands for. Fun fact, Kyle was a child model! And why Alyssa isn’t a model now is beyond me. Oh well, sure made my job extra fun working with these two! We started in Downtown Manitou and then headed up to Cheyenne Canyon, you’ll see that part soon, but for now how much FUN are these pics we did in town?
