The message from Dream Mari was very ominous. Does Mari have other people in her head? Who? How? Die for you...again? ✨

@proserpinapark Ep 42 - Birth of a Theory: I appreciate Junichi and Jessica's concern for Sam, but it does kinda feel like they steamroll him a bit. It definitely seems like they should be putting a bit more though into this. Of course, we know how their plan turns out... 🌳

@worldgonewrongpod 606 - Do you want to see what the future will bring?: Good on Jamie (and Malik) for not letting the Fae intimidate them. These future-scrying crystals brought up a lot of interesting questions. It was also interesting hearing whether each of them would use them. I for sure wouldn't. I don't think. I'm not surprised that Malik chose to stay in Chicago, but man, that sucks that he'll have to start things over for his dissertation. And I'm very curious to see how this job opportunity goes for Jamie! 🌎

@storiesfromylelmore Minisode - The Recorder: the little hints we've gotten about the recorder before have always intrigued me, and I'm now even more curious. Can Grandma Otho somehow hear Keryth and her podcast from beyond the grave or something?

Episode 302 - Summer Project: This was such a fun episode! Selkies and sirens and mermaids, oh my! That was such a good idea from Keryth, and Elas worked so hard to be brave, carry out the plan, and do the magic. Another fantastic idea from Keryth to include Rion in the magic part by using his organizational skills to keep copies of her spell circles. The gameboy references were also on point . 🎒

@forgedbondspod - Chapter 29: I enjoy that we get to hear about the relationships that the supporting characters are navigating as well. Apollo and Dionysus and Atemis' conversations were all so sweet. Then finally hearing Phae and Dite hanging out again! The "Oh," from Dite sure felt significant... especially followed by the urgent call to Ares! 💍

@iriscasefiles 3.04.5 - Seven Worlds: This was a tough one, with everyone trying to deal with the loss and also the lack of info about Sana's whereabouts. I'm glad they took a moment for Other Violet. Now they've narrowed things down to 7 worlds...here's hoping they picked the right one. 🌌

@goodmorningevildoers S2E5 - Ashes to Asphalt & Records Too: I wonder how many locations this evil supercorp has? Good to know that even they frown on accidental dragging to an unceasing hellscape of torment. Hearing Winifred talking about the intranet, wellness benefits and the coffee cart really resonates with me as a long time corporate employee. The context warning for next episode and the impending visit from the Atlanteans sure has me on the edge of my seat! 💀

@thebrightsessions S2E08-S4E10: So I started taking notes as I was listening, but it was starting to become a novel and now I'm halfway through S4... I understand why this show remains at the top of rec lists—it is absolutely fantastic. I was immediately engrossed in the story, the characters, the whole world. I meant to try to pace myself a bit more but alas. I couldn't help myself! Everyone feels so real, which is a testament to both the writing and the acting. Several times I've found myself frozen in the middle of what I've been doing because I was listening so intently, or gasping out loud at certain reveals. I have also shed several years. And now the lastest episode I listened to was their 50th, and a musical one! Incredible!! I'm looking forward to hearing more! 💡

@re-dracula Week 17: The gap between Lucy's diary entry and her letter to Mina had me worried. Now she says she's doing better...but based on Arthur's letter, that isn't true. Let's see if Dr. Seward can get to the bottom of this. 🦇

Audio Drama Sunday - 1st June ✨

God, the audio drama was good this week!!

🌲 @hellofromthehallowoods (192) Oh nooo, Shank 🥺 You were a murderous pig man, but you were my murderous pig man! It’s so sad to see all the fracture lines between characters really come out in this season. Johanna and Russell could have been such a game-changing friendship if she’d stayed loyal! But then, we know how the Wicker kids were raised and Shank killed her brother so there is an inevitability to her actions. Cole is SUCH an interesting character and such a good (imo) portrayal of someone in the police force who really doesn’t believe he’s perpetuating harm. It’s nothing new for me to say that I adore the writing in this show, but you just KNOW that he was thinking ‘what would Clem do’ when calling the Fiddle off to go find Danielle. It’s like he’s justifying the ‘reasonable force’ to achieve his goals. He’ll get Shelby with his centipede thing, but he won’t kill her. It’s so messed up!

🧳 Travelling Light @monstrousproductions (47) I think we should all be writing pamphlets entitled: My Truth And What Ought Be Done About It. Oh, yeah, totally, Traveller. Not telling someone how you feel because ‘it’s in their best interests’ is soooo noble. [Fond] Idiots. The pair of them are idiots.

🍎 @notquitedeadpod (XLVIII) Oh my GOD. I listened to this ep twice in order to really process my feelings about it all but I still couldn’t! Damn. I keep reflecting on the fact that when Neige was introduced, I was here every Sunday talking about how much I didn’t trust him. HA. I mean, we know he’s still keeping things from Alfie but Casper you [insert expletive that is probably too strong for Audio Drama Sunday]!!!!! I honestly think I really bought that he was a good guy and it was the secretive nature of the vampirism issue that was drawing Alfie away from family and society but GOD, all the signs were there that he was, as Leon so beautifully put it ‘manipulative and hateful in that specific kinda woe is me way’. GOD. Someone please drop the ep number of the scene in the woods because I need to relisten!

We also know that Casper thought of the vampires as dead (makes it easier to do fucked up experiments on them, I guess!) but what did he think of the children they ‘treated’??? Did he justify turning Alfie in this way? There’s also all this stuff about the different types of vampire and it potentially being something that was curable. Lads, I heard there’s a haematologist on the run to Paris. . . in case that’s something you want to investigate?? I sure hope Hayley doesn’t get bitten and need curing . . . that would be sooooo not wild and fun to listen too . . . I would hate to have them racing against the clock to save new vampire Hayley . . . . It’s going to be soooo juicy if Alfie has to decide whether to be cured or not. We already know how much he misses his family.

ALSO there was one sneaky line about how Alfie’s recordings are mainly hours of silence and how he’ll have to edit it down. Are we - ?? Are we listening from the end? It’s scary to think that there is an end point that we’re listening from and all this is stuff that happened, not stuff that’s happening. It’s really shifted my perspective on the recordings! Knowing NQD, there’ll be a whole lot more angst before we get to the end!

Also, hard agree with Alfie about nurses being school bullies vs the nicest people you’ve ever met, though, of course, the really awful ones go and become prison officers 🙃

🎃 Waiting For October by @monkeymanproductions (8.5) No spoilers as I’m not sure if this will have been released by the time I post! Such a lovely monologue and I’m choosing to interpret our feline friend as THE feline friend! I’ve loved this first season and I hope that the team have a restful break before coming back for season two!

🧋 @hinaypod (TYM 2) Eek! Mary-Ann! That’s my girl! I do hope we do get to meet her properly in the main narrative soon 👀

🔮 @spiritboxradio (1.37-1.39) UHOH who gave the repressed teenager the power to summon a hot florist???? Surely this is a power that will never be - oh, too late. I’ve been trying to carve out time this week to give the season finale the listening respect it deserves. So excited to listen next week when I have more time!

💍 @forgedbondspod (19) Oh Hermesssss! I’m so glad he has Hephaestus now to talk some sense into him. Unrequited love is an awful feeling (even if it is requited and you just have your head in your arse!). Dion/Apollo fwb is so funny to me and tbh I would also shoot my brother with an arrow to avoid discussing his sex life. Valid.

🥊 @killjamxxx (03 -05) Who’s doing the music? Give them a raise!! What an absolutely stunning set of eps! Bellamy and Faustina are such a fantastic pairing (for the audience lol). Desperation meets talent! What could go wrong! I love how innocent Faustina is for someone who kills people for an entertainment! She has morals! She has rules! She’s been groomed!! Also OBSESSED with Shankhill being a Responsible Dad. I love this show 😭

Hearthbound is my own queer, brown, Americana take on The Odyssey, and the best thing about myths and legends is just how many spins can be spun about them. Sapphic, anti-colonial, irreverent, you name it! Let's goooo!!

🌀 Circè Book One Prologue - Elefthería Space witch space witch space witch. Lyrical and evocative, this episode by the folks at @ostiumpodcast sets the stage for something a little One Thousand and One Nights, a little Circe by Madeline Miller, and a little Saga the comic series. Circe is and always will be the Witch of All Time (WOAT?).

🌳 @proserpinapark Season 1 Episode 1 - It Was a Dark and Stormy Night… The only problem with a three-headed dog is that Alina only has two hands. I love this show for its Persona-like music cues and the educational content about cross-cultural mythology. It takes me back to the shows of my childhood, adventures-of-the-week, where you actually learn something new every episode.

🪡 @hinaypod Episode 1 - Bulok I love seeing women of color competent in the face of the supernatural. It's how we were raised, with stories and instructions and rituals. There's no second guessing for @motziedapul's Mari when she's faced with the horrors. Just remembering her lessons and trusting her gut. And staying in a murder building because she gets free utilities (relatable).

💧 @camlannpod Season 1 Episode 2 - Are Horses Still a Thing? It's beautiful how this show tells the history these friends have with each other. Tequila drama and embarassing nicknames (more Pear Bear pls) galore. And despite the ways they can't help but talk past one another, you know they're ride or die. Which comes in handy when the horse in question absolutely wants to drown you.

🔪 @forgedbondspod Chapter 1 The Greek gods were always our immortal mirrors, and it's fun to explore a Mount Olympus that could fill episodes of Normal Gossip. I appreciate Aphrodite and Ares' practical approach to marriage, as much as I appreciate that every god is sick of Zeus' bullshit. As Marie Kondo once said, I love mess.

Howdy folks! Im working on another mini series for after the main events of Forged Bonds ends and im looking for some new VAs! The plan is for it to be between 4 and 6 episodes, with 1 main character needing to be cast and 2 minor characters.

Main character: he/him, jealous and a bit jaded. Serves as the series antagonist

Minor character 1: she/her, kind but frightened. At least 1 episode, possibly 2

Minor character 2: any pronouns, friend to our antagonist. At least 1 episode, possibly 2 or 3
