the funniest taaffe skdhh
I don’t want a significant other, I just want someone who’ll admire me while I amateurishly admire Michelangelo’s sculptures.
Had a nice experience with my friend today. They told me how much they loved me—platonically! That means a lot to me as an aroace person who is not desirous of a romantic relationship. And we just chatted for a while about a dream of sitting in an old library in a nice, cozy house with our pets and growing old together. Platonically. Platonic love, guys. 10/10, would recommend.

Bless this game and it’s made families and friendships.
Sacha gushing about Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia and platonic love.
The Derek Morgan/Penelope Garcia relationship is one of the most important relationships on TV. It’s not sexual or romantic in nature. It is platonic, and it has never not been platonic and it’s super important to me (and always has been) for strong non-romantic relationships to be on screen and in media. It’s important because it’s between a male and a female yet Savannah is not jealous of Garcia. It’s important because they openly, vocally declare their love for each other in a non-romantic way. It’s important because despite their romantic relationships, their relationships with each other don’t change. Just because Derek has Savannah doesn’t make Garcia any less to him. It’s important because love isn’t just about romance. It’s important to have relationships, friendships, where you can openly tell the other person you love them without it having all these romantic connotations. Love isn’t just for couples and families. It’s for friends who become family, who, in some cases, become closer than family. Because not all people get to experience a loving family and not all people want to experience romance. But everyone should know that they’re loved and should be able to love someone.
I want to have one of those super awesome friendships where we insult each other affectionately, go on crazy adventures, and that lasts a lifetime, but I never get past the "we're school buddies that hang out" stage.
