How to Steal a Bride
Butterflies fluttered in Aeris’ stomach as her friend zipped her into her dress. The grass below her ticked her feet as she twirled around, marveling at the beauty of it. She hadn’t picked it but it was still so lovely the flower girl was unable to not fall in love with it. Her bridesmaids left to get a bottle of champagne and glasses while she slipped on the white heels. Aeris checked her makeup in the mirror, light pink eye shadow, a little blush, eyeliner and mascara. Everything was perfect! Her mother was checking in on the caterers, her groom was getting ready in the chapel and it was a beautiful day.
She heard footsteps and a shadow darken the fabric door. “Darling?.. Is that you?” Aeris walked over, heels sinking into the earth. “You can’t come in- you shouldn’t see me until the ceremony starts.” Aeris took off her shoes and noticed upon inspection of the shadow that it wasn’t her husband-to-be. Hesitantly she opened the curtain... Perhaps someone helping with the service?
“Hello... Can I help you?”
