HELP MY OUT!! I NEED TO FIND THIS BOOK!!!

I can't find the book, but i remember reading a story about the sun and moon. They where twins and not in a romantic relationship.

Here's is what i remember:

A women(old? Young?) finds two twin children (one boy and one girl) in a body of water (lake? Ocean?) she takes them home and raise them. She leveas them every now and then to meet up with her husband in the forest (a deer) she tells them to never follow her( i think). The children don't believe her. They find the dear and kill it then stuff it with (bee hive? Hornet hive?). The women finds him and when she finds out what happened she runs away from the bees. The children tell her to run into the suna (sweat room?) and they refused to let her out (idk why) and then she dies. They run away and find a tree with this weird water. The brother drinks all of the water somehow becoming the sun while the sister (i think something happened to her eye) becomes the moon.

HELP ME FIND THIS BOOK!

I am absolutely going INSANE from trying to find this book. I don’t remember the title, the names of any characters, the main plot, and i barely remember the cover. It might even be two books that my memory smashed into one. Here’s what I remember:

The main character is a girl with purple hair. She steals stuff, I think. Her parents somehow leave the picture (maybe) and she’s sent to live with some rich family member in an old, fancy building that used to be an insane asylum. She isn’t allowed in certain areas of the place by whomever because of some stuff I don’t remember. She (maybe?) sees an image of, or maybe hears a story about, a child with a yellow blanket, then finds out the yellow blanket was something they used to send dead patients down chutes in when the building was still an asylum. There’s some boy, maybe mentions of an ocean or lake nearby, and I think the girl might be a kleptomaniac. She finds comfort in hiding in tight places like vents and small secret spots, where I think she at one point hides from cops who come to take her from her old house to the asylum place. The cover has some kind of nature detailing, like maybe leaves, or vines, or a flower, and the girl with purple hair is shown with shadows on her face. I think I got this book from a scholastic bookfair in like idk 2013 or a bit earlier. I think either I compared it to the secret garden, or a review on the cover did. Some of this might be completely false but that’s what I remember. Please someone help me lmao

Can someone help me find this book?

I read this book like 7 years back, but I'm sure it's older. I can't remember title or author but I remember the word "secret" in the title for some reason, I may just be imagining things. The story is about a girl who is anorexic. It's told from her brother's point of view, like he sees warning signs and then finds out she's diagnosed. His name was Michael, he had a girlfriend named Maria and the sister's name was Leigh. For some reason I think they were British. The story continues and it was found that her anorexia started after their father left their mother, she blamed herself for him leaving. Yeah, it's a little all over the place.

If anyone has come across it please let me know, I've been looking for it for ages but I've had no luck.

A forgotten book: Help wanted

When I was 9 or 10, I read a book in the school library which deeply traumatized me and haunted me for years, despite the fact that I forgot its name or most of its stories. And I’d like to find it again. So, if I can get some help?

Here’s all the facts I remember:

-It was in French, but I don’t know if it was a translation or not

-the cover had a confused-looking man holding a tentacle in his hands (yeah, I know) while the monster the tentacle belonged to was looming beside him

-It was a collection of short stories, some of them loosely related to each other

-One thing tying them up was a magic cursed book, Necronomicon-like (was it part of the Cthullhu mythos? I don’t know)

-The first story was about a boy who found this book and, inside, a spell to make people disappear. He used it to make his relative disappear, then ended up shouting it outside his window, until he was all alone in the city/world (first nightmare fuel for me)

-The other one I clearly remember was about an over-populated world, where people fight for food (cans dispensed by the government) which came from a “natural reserve” behind a wall -which has no entry, as the main character finds out. One day he finds an old book and takes it home to eat it, but is stopped by his neighbour, an old lady, who tells him that it’s a dictionary and teaches him how to read. He finally knows enough to read what’s written on the can: “Human mash” and finds at the bottom of one can a medal he once gave to a boy he met in the street. So, yeah. Very Soylent-greenesque, absolutely bleak and absolutely terrifying for a 9 years old child.

I don’t remember enough about the other stories to make a detailed summary (most of them were in the same tone: bleak and horrifying) but if, by any chance, some of these facts ring any bell, please let me know, because it’s been years and I can’t stand not knowing anymore. I need to know who was responsible for this trauma.

I can’t seem to remember a book I read in my childhood that deeply affected me . All I can remember is that it was about a boy (who had black hair ? ) and something about stars or magic .i remember the cover page vaguely too . At first I thought the name was THE STAR OF KAZAN but I was wrong . I know I have really less information about the book but ANY clues will help . Thank you so much.
