Peter landed with a huff on the beach. He was a bit winded from playing chase with the fairies, and was absolutely starving. He walked to the edge where sand meets forest and took his tools out of one of the islan's many hollow trees that he stored his things in. Making his way to the water's edge, he noticed a girl on the other end of the beach. "Hellooo!!" he called out to her. "Helloo!!" he tried again, waving.

The first time Noel meets a girl's parents - he's 14 and it's not love but it'll do for now - is also the last time he's ever invited to her house. He tried to be nice, tried to recall all of the etiquette his grandmother had drilled into his head, but couldn't save himself from accidentally insulting the mother's paintings - because seriously, who put up portraits of flamingos everywhere? - and hinting to the father that his daughter was a fantastic kisser.
Not the best impression to make, but at least he improved from that point on. ( he still doesn't like flamingos; they bring back bad memories. )
