He tilted his head back at the long mermaid tail. “Hmm, are you able to breathe properly? Merfolk can’t stay out of water for too long or they’ll begin to choke. Though, I don’t think that may happen to you since you’re only half…but it’d be best not to risk it.”
“I can get some water if you need it.”
“...I’ll choke? Oh that’s fucking great!” Duck snarled, crossing his arms and falling back into the ground. He knew little about merfolk. His knowledge only extending to they will dry out if on land too long. He had never known they suffocated as well.
“What the hell is a little water going to do if I choke to death on too much air?”
