Quote of the day (13) ~ Forgotten
I’m currently listening to a song by Maria Mena, and it gave me inspiration for today’s quote, focussing on being forgotten. It’s a horrible feeling, one I know all too well, but I keep my head held high. I walk with a smile plastered on my face (even if I don’t suit it) and I walk my ground. The outside of me may seem strong but the inside is not, or maybe it is, that’s just what I was told. A thousand thoughts, a million wrongdoings, a billion ideas buzzing around my brain, bouncing off corners and repelling around the deep cervices of my mind. It’s awful.
The worst feeling isn’t being lonely, it’s being forgotten by someone you would never forget
I’m struggling with what to write tonight, what to document. Today has been a puzzling today, the idea of being happy and content but also battling the inside anger and pent up frustration. I’ve learnt more about the human mind than I ever could these past two months, and more about my autism than I could ever learn in a lifetime. My autism, I view it as a constant battle in your own mind, a set structure that doesn’t break, but it’s also the building blocks of a shit person, a shit friend, a shit me.
A person who is given up on. A person who is told to their face everything they already knew about their mental disorder, by someone who doesn’t even give two shits enough to ask how my brain works.
