I'm so extremely excited about my miniature miniature show opening this most spoopy of weeks at the wonderful @antlerpdx in Oregon! Each of the miniature paintings is ensconced in an assemblage of objects from my collection that spoke to it-- sometimes little street finds, sometimes vintage flotsam, sometimes tiny bits of old installations (such as the hand-made pills here). I thought of each piece as a presentation of a tiny relic of some sort, a remnant of a greater whole that is so whittled down, or divorced from the greater body, that it might have lost its meaning somewhere along the way. Little orphans of (mis-) remembering.
