“That cough is awfully pervasive... It sounds to me like a bout of psittacosis. Or... I suppose in a mammal like yourself it would be pneumonia, wouldn’t it??”
Psittacosis was common enough, but a mammalian case of pneumonia up-close was somewhat less so. Humans were still a pervasive enough species that it was hardly the doctor’s first time encountering it, but coming across an ill-stricken anyone unprompted, avian or human, never failed to pique his interest. Shuu flicked his glasses up closer to his face and leant forward, a loosely sinister smile slowly creeping across his lips. Doxycycline, tetracycline... All kinds of antibiotics could be used to treat psittacosis fairly easily through injections or when introduced to water samples. Whatever could the effects of an avian treatment on a human body be, he had to wonder?
"I’ll have you know, I’m quite the doctor. I could treat you easily... For a paltry fee, of course. A lock of your hair, maybe. What say you?? Ho ho ho.”
