i'm rereading legacy right now and i'm at the part where oralie is helping sophie with her enhancing, and i realized something. sophie says that her her enhancing is extra strong with telepaths and empaths and that got me thinking. yes keefe and fitz are an empath and a telepath respectfully, but who is also a empath? oralie. and shes sophie's mother. so what if sophie is subconsciously reacting to her parents abilities, like enhancing them more powerfully than other abilities. and we know that empaths and telepaths are more compatible with each other, so what if the black swan got two people with those abilities to have a base for an already strong child. also/or oralie says that she knew that enhancing had to rely on the same inner strength as empathy, and that it explains so much. forkman said that her enhancing was a natural ability that she was gonna get ,so maybe that's where she got her enhancing from, that inner strength that oralie mentioned. and because her mothers and empath, and her enhancing comes from the same inner strength emapths use, that could be why lord cassius said that her telepathy reminded her of an empath. she could be subconsciously using the inner strength the same way an empath uses it, without having that ability. also sophie thought that her parents ability could affect her and maybe she's right idk cuz oraile is an empath so maybe i'm on the right track maybe not.
