That had to be one of the strangest reasons anyone had ever walked into the police station and, wow, had there been a lot of weird reasons. His transfer to Pawnee was nothing like he expected. How could a town just a fraction of the size of Brooklyn feel even crazier? Maybe the difference was the military experience.
“Of all the places you have to choose from, you want to sleep in a jail cell?”
Steve chuckles at the sheer ridiculousness of the statement. But, if April was that tired it wasn’t like he could let her drive off on her own.
“There’s an empty conference room. You could sleep on the table. Or, there’s a couch in my office.” He shrugs. “If you’d rather sleep on something more comfortable.”
