We visited Formby Point on Monday (one of the few days this year that the weather has remembered that it’s supposed to be summer).
Theoretically we were going to go to the woods to try to spot the red squirrels but once my daughter realised there was a beach the prospect of seeing some cute furry rodents lost all its appeal.
She had tons of fun playing in the sand and the shallow sun-warmed patches of water left behind by the tide.
Fun but tiring.
