It only occurs to her about now that she probably should’ve been making more of an effort with Bucky, at least as a courtesy to Steve. Hard for her not to look at his situation and feel pity, though, and she doesn’t do well with pity.

He hums in the corner, all wires and winter and whimpers, and oh, isn’t he lovely? Miss Edith said not to touch, but I never do listen when the music’s so loud in his blood. "You’re shivering like a broken pocket watch." She croons, fingers ghosting over Bucky’s cheek with the gentleness of a spider admiring her kill. Her eyes gleam, moonlit and mad. "They twisted your ticking, didn’t they? Took your brave little heart and stitched secrets inside it." She tilts her head, listening to something only she can hear. Soft giggles, maybe the stars. "But I can see you, my darling doll. You’re full of screams and songs and soup made of sorrow. I’ll lick the rust from your bones, love. Fix you all up proper. Wouldn’t that be nice?" A slow smile curls like smoke. "Let Mummy make it better."

After all, she would have thought the same thing when meeting her first vampire. Too bad even as a half vampire it didn't mean that her blood urges were half the bloodlust ... "Besides, that's what blood bags are for." She commented, shoulders all but briefly shrugging as she flagged down the bartender for another bottle.
