“I was thinking of actually trying to save people. Fuck, ow. I’m a soldier. I know how to handle it.” The medic groaned out, glaring at the direction of those who were in danger. He couldn’t not help. That wasn’t in his nature! “Easy, woman. I’m a medic, and even I know I’m not bleeding that much.” He grumbles resting on his elbow. Damn. Of course he had to be shot in his other side.
“If you’re a medic, then you know that being shot in the side could lead to a hell of a lot worse problems if you don’t lie down and stop moving,” biting the words out with obvious annoyance and lack of any real patience, Emma was quickly beginning to realize that this man was a blasted idiot. “Just think about it a little bit more before you go and try to be a damn hero. You will only be hurting yourself more, and in doing so you aren’t going to be helping anybody. So just lay here, and I’ll bring people to you... the less you strain yourself the more people you can work on,” she urged, glancing towards those that were calling out for help.
Without waiting for him to reply, Emma stood while remaining hunched over to make herself a smaller target... and bolted. Not that she was any kind of a medic, nor was she any kind of a soldier. She was just a civilian who happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time when the world went to hell in a hand basket. Not that the man back there needed to know any of that...
Darting from cover to cover, her heart racing in her chest, she grabbed hold of the first injured person that she could reach, before beginning to drag them away from the danger and closer to the area they could be treated.
