Like the song "El corralero" 😭
Summary: They were never supposed to grow fond of you... And yet, here they were, facing their hardest task ever...
You were a very young child, turned into a Demon by Muzan Kibutsuji to serve as part of his disguise to blend in with normal humans... But you got lost and were found by the Demon Slayers, who immediately took you under their wing.
At first, they thought of you as a normal child due to your lack of blood lust or intention to kill... But once you were subjected to the sun's light, they found out that you were, in fact, a Demon.
But you posed no threat to anyone and claimed that you hadn't eaten or killed humans before... And they all believed you, because Demons who had slaughtered innocent people had this feel to them. You lacked that feeling.
And thus, you were given to the Hashira so they could keep an eye out for you in case you ended up deceiving them... And despite their hatred towards Demons, they never expected to grow fond of you.
You were a small and young child, one who should have been full of life and energy, but instead, you were calm and extremely polite to your guardian.
When you talked with them, you held knowledge far greater than anyone of your age should have, and you were so kind, unnaturally so for a Demon.
Even if the Hashira in charge of you spat hurtful words and accusations at you, you kept smiling, telling them how you understood and how they had every reason to suspect you... All this while you smiled kindly.
The Hashira in question never should have grown fond of a Demon like you... And yet, you grew to become like a younger sister to them, someone who they had to look over and protect.
Which was why it hurt when Master Ubuyashiki gave the order to kill you. It pained both the Hashira and their Master, but the threat you possessed was too much, and they saw no other way around it...
In any other case, you would have been killed ages ago, yet here you were, still alive and kicking... And the Hashira had grown fond of you.
It wasn't fair that a child like you should be killed, but you were not a child anymore; you hadn't been in ages. Your body may have belonged to a child, but you were in fact a Demon, something that the Hashira couldn't ignore anymore.
They took you to this gorgeous flower field where you loved to play in the middle of the night. You would run around, pick up flowers, and play with the Hashira... But this time, they were staying back.
They were preparing themself mentally for what was to happen... But then you called their name and ran to them.
"Look, look!" You smiled cheerfully as you showed them the flower crown you had made by yourself.
"Kneel down! I'll put it on you!"
They quietly did as you instructed them to do, and you placed the beautiful crown on their heads.
"There!" You laughed as you stepped back, "Now you're a flower fairy!"
Oh, how you didn't make this easy... You noticed that they were clutching their Nichirin weapon tightly, and you looked at them in confusion and worry.
"Is everything alright? You look sad?"
They couldn't lie to you.
"I'm sorry..." They murmured, and your eyes widened as you realized their intentions... Yet you didn't try to run away or attack them.
You understood that they did what they had to do... And you didn't hold it against them.
"It's fine." You smiled as you looked at the Hashira, and they were shocked by how genuinely happy you looked and sounded, despite the gravity of the situation.
"I'm glad I had a chance to live this long. Long enough to meet you!" You giggled, "And I'm even happier that I lived long enough to get the chance to spend time with you!"
Why, why did you have to make this even harder than it already was?
"Can I...?" You looked at them, "Can I hug you? For the last time?"
The Hashira nodded as they bent down, and you ran to hug them. You were so small in their arms, it hurt to hold you, but then you had to go and whisper to their ear, "Thank you for everything. You gave me a life I'll never forget."
And you pulled away from the hug, knowing it was time.
"Please..." The Hashira ground through their teeth as they tried their hardest to keep themself from crying, "Turn around. You don't need to see this...!"
You nodded as you turned your back to them, and the Hashira breathed in as they pulled their weapon out and raised it into the air.... And then brought it down.
Your body fell limply on the bed of flowers, while your head rolled a little further away from your body. Seeing that you were still alive, even for a second or a minute, the Hashira rushed to your head and gently hugged you close to their body.
"Shh..." They gently hushed, "It's over soon..."
"Thank you... For the painless end..." You smiled as they held you, tears of your own streaming down your face, "Truly, thank you..."
Quickly, your body turned into ashes that the wind picked up and spread all over the field of flowers... Your head following your body, but the last image the Hashira had of you was your peaceful, smiling face.
They set a grave for you. Demons didn't actually get graves, but you were a special case. Every time the Hashira would go and visit your grave, they would notice that it was always so clean, and there were always fresh, beautiful flowers there.
'Welcome back!'
The Hashira gasped as they looked around, your light-hearted giggle echoing around them.
'I missed you so much!'
They looked at your grave, and there was suddenly a flower crown there, just like the one you placed on their head when it was time for you to go to the next life.
'Tell me, how are others?'
The Hashira smiled as they started to talk to your grave, telling you about their adventures and everyday life... And how they missed you.
'I'll wait for you, but please don't hurry! You still have tons to live for!'
You were right, of course you were. You were a smart and kind child after all...
Hashiras reacting to: They have a tsugoku (Fem teenager reader) who is like GoldShip from UmaMusume! She is quite chaotic, playful, mischievous, confident, charismatic, relaxed, and a joker! She has pretty good skills! But she is stubborn and difficult to train! Like the character
PART 1 - PART 2 - PART 3
You had talent, that was for sure. Your Hashira could see it, and that is why they took you under their wing. Not only that, but you certainly stood out from the rest of the Slayers.
Where others are serious and studious, you are most of the time playful and chaotic. No one can really understand what goes through your head. You prefer a more laid-back approach to life, but when the time is right, you can be extremely serious.
Your technique to wield a weapon is remarkable; you're strong and fast, and can make tough decisions under intense pressure. You had great potential to become a Hashira yourself one day.
Yes, you had talent... But dammit, you could be as stubborn as a mule when you decided to be that way!
You would go against your Master, pout, and let their orders fall on deaf ears... Which wasn't exactly a good thing, but you are serious when the situation calls for it.
Giyu wasn't exactly looking for a Tsuguko, but he saw your potential and decided to harness it for the good. He is a very serious Master, and will not go easy on you. Act out and you will be punished. Work with him and learn, and you have a itsy bitsy chance of earning his respect.
Shinobu is calm and patient, Master. She will give you time to do what you want, but when it's time to train your Breathing style, she will get serious and use that calm, kind tone of voice to lure you into doing what she wants. The same thing works for Inosuke, so why not you too?
Mitsuri tries her hardest to be a good Master, teaching you what she knows and such... But you can be stubborn, which throws her off, but she is a strong lady. She will take the reins and make you listen to her and learn!
Obanai regrets taking you as his Tsuguko, but it was too late to just kick you out of the corps. He is a strict teacher and expects nothing but perfection from you! Any less and you might as well end up dead.
Gyomei usually cries as he prays for you. You have talent, but all of it will go to waste if you don't take things more seriously. He will train you, so you won't die, as you are young and have your whole life ahead of you. He'd hate to hear that you have perished.
Tengen knows your type, the bratty type, but unlike most of his colleagues, he knows how to handle bratty Tsugukos like you. He will easily place you over his lap and spank that brat out of you. Crying? Boo hoo, now it's too late for that. Act like a brat and be treated as one. Though he does reward good behavior, making sure you learn what acting out gets for you and what acting well gets.
Kyojuro believes in you, and he thinks that as long as you believe in yourself also, then you should make it out there! He doesn't pressure you too much, just the perfect amount to let you know he is watching after you.
Muichiro doesn't really think much of you, to be honest. So you have talent? Use it then. He will teach you, but he won't make it easy for you.
Sanemi straight-up thinks that you are lucky that he hasn't kicked you out of the corps yet. You're there to learn how to kill Demons, and that is what he will teach you to do. You can take that bratty attitude of yours and lose it, or be prepared for an extra workout!
OK, I KNOW I'M NOT ANONYMOUS, SORRY, BUT I WAS REALLY FASCINATED WITH THE SINGLE MOTHER READER! 😭😭😭😭
If it's not too much trouble or you don't have many requests (I doubt it, you write beautifully, who wouldn't want to make requests from you) you could do
this gave me an idea for an oc i'm making!
hashiras x platonic single mother reader, where on some occasion they meet their son for the first time and his reactions? make up the situation! add whatever you want! I love your work!
Take the time you need
Summary: You got hurt on a mission and are ordered to rest until you heal. So, you get to spend more time with your precious son and you're taking him to a Summer Festival where you run into familiar faces.
It was just your luck to have Demon break your dominant hand on your last hunt. With your arm broken, you couldn't lift a teapot and even less your sword.
So, thanks to Shinobu's diagnosis, Master Ubuyashiki ordered you to rest until your arm healed and as much as you hated staying home, it gave you a chance to spend more time with your son who you loved more than anything else in the whole world.
"I'm happy that you are here mom," Your son smiled as he ate his breakfast, but he quickly added, "I- I mean, I don't like it that you're hurt, but I-!"
"It's okay," You smiled as you picked up your bowl of miso soup with your good arm and drank it straight from the bowl, "I'm happy to spend time with you."
"That..." Your son's smile grew as he happily looked at you, "Mom, there is this Summer Festival... And I was thinking if we could go together?"
"What time it's held?"
"Daytime, so you don't need to worry about Demons or such!"
"You planned this well, didn't you?" You grinned a little and your son blushed as he was caught, but he nodded and you chuckled, "Alright, we can go."
"Really!?" Your son cheered as he jumped up and ran to hug you while minding your broken arm, "Thank you, Mom, I'm so happy!"
"Anything for my son!" You smiled happily and the days went on until the day came when the Summer Festival was held.
You were walking around in your finest kimono, following your son closely as he led you to stalls he wanted to visit and foods and treats he wanted to try.
You felt like you had lost so many times to bond with him since you were often gone, hunting Demons, but you hoped that he truly understood that it was for his safety also.
So, you would treasure this day with your son, and nothing or no one could-!
"Ah-!" Your son gasped as he ran into someone, knocking himself down on the ground. Your mama bear instincts took over and you quickly rushed over to help him up.
"Dear, are you alright?" You asked and he nodded. You sighed, "You need to watch where you're going-!" You were saying when the person he had run at said your name.
"Who-!?" You turned to look and you couldn't almost believe your own eyes.
Sanemi squinted his eyes at you as he looked at you and your son up and down and finally, he smirked, "So you can look like an actual woman also?"
You rolled your eyes, letting his snide comment go past you and you moved to help your son up, but before you could do so, Sanemi helped him up like he weighed nothing.
"There you go," The scarred Hashira nodded, "You don't want to strain your mom's arm any more than it needs to be, right?"
"Y- Yes, sir..." Your son nodded and you immediately noted that he slowly moved closer to your back, putting distance between himself and the Wind Hashira.
"Tch, where are you running off to?" Sanemi asked, "I'm not going to hurt you."
"I- I didn't think so-!" Your son was about to defend himself when you shot a glare at your fellow Hashira, "What are you doing here Shinazugawa?"
"What, can't a man enjoy Summer Festival also?"
"Not if that man is you," You shot right at him and he frowned, "I used to come here with-!" He quickly cut himself off as he turned to leave, "Forget about it. Don't forget to report back to base when you heal!"
And just like that, he left. You frowned as you looked at your son and smiled, "Would you like some shaved ice?"
"Yes please!" Your son smiled again and while the two of you enjoyed your cold treats you glanced at him, "What did you think of him?"
"Who?"
"The scarred man mommy works with?"
"He was scary looking..." Your son nodded thoughtfully, "But I got this feeling he was a little sad?"
Ah, your heart ached. Only your son could see good in everyone. You were about to tell him to ignore Sanemi, but your son had other ideas, "Maybe he is lonely?"
"Shinazugawa? Hah, I doubt tha-!" You were about to laugh, but you cut yourself off when you saw how your son was looking at you. You shut your mouth and sighed, "Yeah, maybe I can ask him to come over sometimes... But only if you want to!"
"I think that would make him happy!" Your son smiled and you were once again reminded what Saint your son was.
Mitsuri smiled happily as she recognized you and quickly offered her hand to help your son up, "I'm sorry, I was following my nose rather than looking where I was going!"
"It's alright..." You nodded as you got up as well and your fellow Pillar smiled at your son.
"You must be my friend's son who she always talks about!" She grinned and your son smiled as he nodded, "That's me."
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" She grinned happily, "Hey since we ran to each other, can I offer you guys some candy apples? I heard they are super good!"
"We-!" You were saying but your son cut you off, "We would love that, wouldn't we Mom?"
You turned and saw him looking at you with those big innocent eyes of his and you couldn't say no.
"Alright..." You nodded and both Mitsuri and your son cheered as they started to head toward the stall that sold the sweet caramel-covered apples.
Later, while Mitsuri was picking up some dango for you to enjoy, you and your son had a small talk.
"How... How do you like Mitsuri?" You asked carefully.
"She is really nice, mom," Your son smiled, "Can she come over sometimes? I'd love to talk more with her?"
"I..." You frowned, not as excited as your son was, but Mitsuri was maybe the sweetest person you knew besides him... So you finally nodded, "I think that can be arranged if you want."
Muichiro blinked as he stared at you guys. You frowned as you helped your son up on your own and turned to look at the Mist Hashira.
"Tokito," You nodded and he nodded back at you. You frowned, "What are you doing here?"
"I was ordered to check how you were healing." The young man nodded and you groaned, ready to tell him that you would be back hunting Demons in no time...
But then he looked at your son and tilted his head, "This must be your son, am I right?"
"That would be me," Your son nodded and the Mist Hashira tilted his head another way, "Your mother has mentioned you."
"I have not-!" You blushed, but your son looked at you and then your colleague, "Really?"
"A couple of dozen times, yes," Muichiro nodded and you felt like pulling the young man's ear, but when you looked at your son and saw his eyes almost sparkle as he looked at the Mist Hashira.
"Well, seeing you are doing well, I'll report back to Master," Muichiro nodded and without another word, he turned around and left. You frowned as you looked after him, but then.-!
"Mom, can I become a Slayer like him?" Your son asked suddenly, to your confusion. You thought you already had this talk multiple times already.
"Why would you want to slay Demons?"
"Well, Tokito does it and he is my age?" He looked quickly, "Why can't I help people like you and he help?"
"My son, your strength doesn't lie in brute strength," You smiled as you hugged him, "Your heart is golden and that is all you need. Leave fighting Demons to your mommy and focus on making the world a better place when mommy rids it from Demons."
"Alright..." Your son nodded as he hugged you back and you really hoped your arm would get better sooner.
Obanai looked at the two of you and you frowned as you helped your son up on your own.
"It's rare to see you Iguro," You bit the inside of your cheek, "What brings you here?"
"Tch, straight to the point, huh?" The Serpent Hashira nodded as he pulled a scroll from his Haori and handed it to you, "This is from Master. For your eyes only."
"Thank you," You nodded as you accepted the scroll and slid it to your kimono's hidden pocket, "Was there something else?"
"No," The young man shook his head, ready to leave, but then his snake companion Kaburamaru hissed as it reached towards your son, much to your and Obanai's surprise.
"Your..." Your son smiled shyly, "Your snake is very pretty, mister."
"..." After a moment of silence, Obanai nodded, "I guess he is..."
"May I pet him?"
You were ready to scold your son for asking such things, fully knowing how bitter and snarky the Serpent Hashira could be, but before you could, the said Hashira pointed at his snake.
"You're going to have to ask Kaburamaru," He said and your son nodded and offered his hand for the snake to smell.
"Hi there, pretty snake...? Can I pet you-?" Before he could even finish his sentence, the white snake pressed its head gently against your son's fingers, much to your shock.
You had never seen Kaburamaru favor anyone else but its owner and Mitsuri. Your son was all smiled as he pulled his hand back and smiled to Obanai, "Thank you, Mister!"
"...You're welcome, I suppose..." The Hashira grunted as he turned to leave. As he left, you looked at your son, ready to ask where he got the courage to touch the snake, but he beat you to it.
"He was so cool...!" Your son was in total awe, "Mom, can I get a pet snake also?"
Shinobu smiled gently as she helped you to get your son back on his feet.
"Pardon me, it wasn't my intention to knock you down like that," She apologized and you nodded, "It's okay. What brings you here? My next check-up should be-!"
You fell silent as you realized that this was the day when you were supposed to have your arm checked by the Insect Hashira.
Seeing your eyes widen in realization made Shinobu giggle a little, "I was on my way to your mansion but when I got there, they told me you had gone to the Festival with your son."
"Ah, I'm sorry, I got the days mixed-!" You were apologizing but the kind woman shook her head, "It's alright. I can come back later today if that is alright with you?"
"Of course," You nodded, feeling like you were in debt now that you had wasted her precious time, "You're welcome to stay a night since you had to come all the way here."
"Thank you," Shinobu nodded and then looked at your son who was admiring her beauty.
"You must be the young Master of the mansion?" She asked as she gently reached forward and patted your son's head, "You look just like your mother."
"Thank you..." Your son nodded and Shinobu giggled a little as she pulled her hand back and turned to leave, "Well then, I'll see you at the mansion when you're done here?"
"Yes," You nodded, "Sorry about this Kocho."
"Don't apologize, these things happen to the best also," She nodded as he left. You sighed, feeling like such a moron, but your son gently nudged your good arm and you looked at him, "What is it?"
"Do you really work with her?" He asked and you blinked, confused, "Yes?"
"She was very nice," He nodded, "I'm happy that you have people who can look after you Mom when I can't."
Ack, your son truly was a Saint!
Giyu frowned as he leaned down and quickly helped you to get your son up on his feet again.
"I'm sorry, "He nodded, "I didn't see you guys."
"It's fine," You grunted as you looked at the Water Hashira, "I didn't take you as the type who enjoyed Festivals?"
"I'm not here for the Festival," The Water Hashira said as he pointed at your broken arm, "I came to see your arm."
"My arm?" Your frown deepened and he nodded, "As you know, you are to return to Butterfly Mansion once the cast is supposed to be taken off and then you start your rehabilitation before you can head out there."
"You could have sent a crow to tell me that," You frowned, "And I'm well aware of how these things work. I'll be back hunting before you even know it."
"Good," Giyu nodded and you frowned, "Do you have any other reason to pop by?"
"I also wanted to see if you were doing alright?" He frowned slightly, looking like it was hard for him to say that and you nodded as you raised your broken arm as much as you dared, "I'm fine as you can see."
"You're right. Why did I even worry?" Giyu nodded as he turned to leave, but before he did that, he looked at your son, "Take care of your mother. She doesn't say it, but even she needs help sometimes."
"Oi!" You snapped, but it was too late and the Water Hashira was gone. You groaned, frustrated, but your son gently tugged your kimono to get your attention.
"Yes?" You smiled at him and returned the smile, "Nothing. I'm just happy you have so many friends who look after you and that you aren't alone."
"What are you saying?" You grinned as you ruffled his hair with your good hand, "I'm never alone with you in my mind!"
Kyojuro gasped out loud and quickly knelt down to help your son up.
"My apologies, I didn't see you there-!" He was apologizing when he noticed that it was you standing there in front of him and a huge smile broke out to his handsome face.
"Hm! Why, if it isn't our little hero!" Kyojuro said as he happily stood up straight now that your son wasn't on the ground anymore, "How is your arm?"
"My arm is fine, thank you Rengoku," You nodded and he nodded but then he looked at your son and his smile seemed to grow even bigger, "You must be the young Master of your household!"
"Y- Yes, sir!" Your son nodded and the Flame Hashira laughed in a good manner, "No need to be so formal! You can call me Kyojuro like your mother also can!"
"We aren't that close yet-!" You were saying but then your son gasped out loud, "Kyojuro, are you as strong as my mom is? You look really strong!"
"Ha ha, I'm not sure if I'm stronger than your mother!" The man laughed, "I think we are equals if nothing else!"
You knew better. Kyojuro might have been bright and cheerful to the point he was sometimes hard to take seriously, but he was serious when needed and he was strong even if he didn't admit it.
Possibly stronger than you.
"Hm! Would you let me offer you a meal for running into you like that?" He asked suddenly and smiled, "I could tell you how heroic your mother was on her last mission with me!"
"That's not-!" You tried to speak out, but your son was faster than you.
"Yes, please!" He said cheerfully as he glanced at you, "Can I hear it, Mom, can I?"
You pressed your lips together, but you finally gave up and nodded, "Fine..."
"Marvelous!" Kyojuro smiled, "Follow me! I think I saw Takoyaki stand on my way here!"
"Yes!" Your son cheered as he ran to follow the Flame Hashria and you couldn't help but to worry... But you had a feeling your son looked up to Kyojuro a lot so you wouldn't hold them back from becoming friends.
Tengen laughed as he apologized, but as he looked closer he recognized you, even if you looked totally different while out of the corp's uniform and in a pretty kimono.
"Sorry about that!" He apologized as he helped your son up, "I didn't notice you!"
"Uzui?" You blinked before frowning as you looked at him and he nodded with a dazzling smile, "That's me, but please, call me Tengen. We are that close already, aren't we?"
"Why are you here Uzui?" You asked, completely ignoring him and his request. The Sound Hashira grinned, showing off his perfect teeth, "Can't the God of Festivities visit one?"
"You're far away from home," You noted with a frown, "Isn't there a festival back there?"
"I guess there was..." He laughed as he rubbed the back of his head, "But you weren't there, but here!"
"So you tell me you all the way here for...?" Your frown deepened, "For me?"
"Well, I was going to ask you to join me at the festival, but seems like a certain young man beat me to it," The Sound Hashira chuckled as he glanced at your son and you frowned, "I'm-!
"Are you really a God?" Your son suddenly asked.
"NO-!" You were snapping but Tengen laughed and bent down a little so he was closer to your son's level, "Yes, and not only that, but I'm a Hashira and a ninja also!"
"A ninja also!?" That seemed much cooler than being a God.
"Mom, can he join us?" Your son asked, no, he begged, but you weren't so enthusiastic as he was.
"I don't know..."
"Please...?" Oh crap, he was giving you the puppy eyes. You groaned as you gave up and nodded, "Fine! But he is paying for everything!"
"Deal!" Tengen laughed as he started to lead you guys forward while telling a story about the time he fought against an army of Demons but you were pretty sure he was exaggerating things... But your son seemed to admire him so you tolerated him
Gyomei prayed under his breath as tears ran down his face, "I'm sorry... I wasn't aware of my surroundings."
"Himejima?" You blinked, confused as to why he was there in the first place, "What... What brings you here?"
"I came to see, well, you know, how your wounds and arm are healing?" He asked and you nodded and quickly added, "My arm is fine. I should be out there hunting soon so don't worry."
"Namu Amida Butsu..." The blind man pressed his palms together, "I pray you will heal quickly and without any complications..."
"Are you a friend of my mom's?" Your son asked and Gyomei raised his gaze from the ground and nodded, "I am. Are you perhaps her son?"
"I am," Your son nodded and Gyomei started crying anew, "Namu, you sound just like her... Only more docile..."
"Oi!" You snapped, but your son just laughed, "Ha ha, mom can be a little straightforward most of the time, but I know she means good."
"As do I," The Stone Hashira nodded and you frowned as you tried to keep yourself from blushing, "What the heck, are you all against me or something?"
"But we were just complimenting you?" Your son sounded truly confused and you felt even more like the bad guy here.
I didn't mean it like that..." You muttered but your son just smiled as he looked at Gyomei, "So you are mom's friend? Do you work together also?"
"We do sometimes when luck is on our side," The blind man nodded and your son nodded also, "Then... Can you promise me something?"
"What is it?"
"Can you..." Your son swallowed, "If you can, can you make sure my Mom doesn't hurt again?"
You blinked, stunned by your son's sincere request. Gyomei looked confused also, but this lasted only for a second before he started crying again.
"Namu... I promise you, when your mother is with me, I won't let anything happen to her," He promised and your son smiled, "Alright, thank you, Mister!"
"You're very welcome." Gyomei nodded and you grumbled how they talked about you as if you weren't even there. Maybe it was for the best so they couldn't see the light red on your cheeks.
You can do the reactions of the hashiras before Male demon slayer reader, who defeats the demons not with a katana, but by singing and playing instruments, it's like alameda slim from "home on the range" and the pied piper of hamelin. Reader is like jose jose (Mexican artist whose voice is beautiful) When singing the demons become hypnotized, euphoric, hallucinated, relaxed, and can even dance, similar to the effect of a narcotic. And they remain in that state until the sun disintegrates them or they are decapitated, unable to react to any stimulus other than reader's music. This has never failed reader 😩
You're certainly one of a kind with your ability to lull and hypnotize the Demons into a false sense of euphoria, making them relax and leave themselves vulnerable to you and your comrades to finish them off.
You are extremely proud of your shakuhachi flute and never leave it behind, always carrying it with you because you never know when you will run into a Demon... Or just want to play for your own pleasure.
You're also a talented singer, and your playing just strengthens your already mesmerizing singing. Your voice is smooth, and words spill from your lips like a loving mantra.
Hashiras are impressed with your ability because any advantage against the Demons is a great thing. While you lack the ability to wield a Breathing Technique, your ability to hypnotise the Demons covers it pretty well.
You and Giyu get along quite well. He likes the fluid sound of your playing and singing, though he really doesn't say it out loud. He does warn you to look after yourself because you lack the Breathing Technique.
One would think that your singing and playing could calm any creature... But Sanemi was pretty much immune. He can listen to you sing or play, but gets annoyed if you do them for too long, and will threaten to kick your ass.
Mitsuri is one of your biggest supporters and a friend, as she loves your playing and singing. She likes to sing with you as you play, and the two of you make a good duo.
While you and the Love Hashira bond, Obanai, on the other hand, doesn't like how close you are to Mitsuri, but you assure him that you only see her as a friend. Otherwise, the Serpent Hashira thinks you need to look after yourself, because what if you are rendered unable to sing? You gotta be prepared for that.
You and Gyomei share your love for the shakuhachi flute and often play together when you just can. While he isn't able to hypnotize Demons like you are, he is a very passionate flautist like you. Otherwise, the two of you have great respect for each other.
Shinobu is extremely curious about your ability and oftentimes asks you to show her exactly how your ability works so she can inspect the effect it has on Demons. She also wants to see how far you can take your abilities. Would it be possible for you to even turn the Demons briefly against each other? She wants to test this idea as soon as you come to visit Butterfly Mansion.
Muichiro surprisingly likes your music, though he doesn't really tell you that. He kinda just listens from the side and stares at the clouds moving in the sky.
Kyojuro is also a fan of your singing and playing, though, like many others, he insists that you must train your swordmanship more! Otherwise, he would probably like to ask you to teach him to play something. He can sing very loudly, but he can't play any instruments. He is willing to learn, though, so he would be a good student for you!
Okay, so, Tengen would most likely take you under his wing as his Tsuguko and train you because he is THE SOUND HASHIRA. Music and singing are sounds, and he is the master of them! Just like Obanai, Tengen warns you what might happen if you can't play or sing and how you need a backup plan if that happens. So get ready, he is going to train you like crazy!

PART 1 - PART 2
You groaned as you went through your receipts, and you came to a painful discovery. You were running out of money fast.
So you got up and made your way to your roommate's room, knocking on the door louder than was necessary.
"Muzan!? You better be decent because I'm coming in!" You snapped and then waited for a second or two, and pushed the door open.
The man was sitting at his desk, which was filled with books of all sorts that you were pretty sure you didn't own. Where did he get them, and how much money did he spend on them? You didn't want to know.
"What?" Muzan frowned, "What is so important that you are willing to disturb me in the middle of my studies?"
"What are you even-?" You shook your head, "Never mind."
"Explain yourself to me."
"Okay, with all due respect," You sighed as you looked at him, "I kinda like having you around now, but you gotta start helping me around the house!"
"What do you expect me to do?" Muzan frowned as he looked at you, "If you can't remember or simply can't understand, I lost all my Demonic powers when I ended up here."
"I do remember, but man, now you also eat like normal humans do!"
You knew that from experience. Muzan had tried to eat raw pork meat and had become sick, which, by the way, served him right. After that, he refused to touch any "peasant" foods.
He would only eat the best and high-quality beef, and he enjoyed his steaks almost raw. Good thing you were a decent cook!
According to Muzan, you were decent enough to prepare his meals for him and thank God for that, because you would go bankrupt if he ate in expensive restaurants each day.
Speaking of steaks!
"You eat so much steak, it's really harmful for my poor wallet!"
"It's an appropriate meal for the Demon King."
"That's the thing!" You cried out as you threw your hands up, "You are not the Demon King anymore! You're just a simple human man!"
The said man squinted his eyes at you. How dare you speak to him like that?
Lucky for you, Muzan was feeling generous, so he wouldn't punish you.
"Very well then." He nodded as he turned his back to you, ready to bury his nose back into the books, much to your confusion.
"Huh? That's it?" You asked, and he nodded, "Yes."
"Hm." You nodded, "Good. I'm glad we had this talk."
You turned to leave, but just as you were about to step out, Muzan called after you, "I'm feeling hungry now, so I'm trusting you to order me some sashimi."
You froze on the spot.
"Excuse me?"
"You're excused."
"No, I mean, I just had a serious talk about your eating habits and now you want me to order you sashimi!?"
"Yes, what is so hard in it for you to understand?"
"That's it!" You yelled, "Those are super expensive too!"
"Then some truffl-"
"No! No more!" You snapped, "Muzan, if you want to keep eating like Demon King, then you have to bring some money to this household also!"
"I see," The man put the book down, "And what do you expect me to do?"
"I'm getting you a job, whether you like it or not!" You snapped as you left his room and made a beeline to your computer and grabbed your phone, ready to call in places and ask if they needed a hand.
A couple of days later, you succeeded in finding a job and proceeded to drag Muzan out of his room and into the outdoors.
The man was NOT happy as you dragged him to a worksite in Summer heat when the sun shone down most of the day.
"Why are we here?" Muzan asked as he looked around in disgust, seeing sweaty and dirty workers wherever he looked.
"I managed to get you a job here as a bricklayer!" You smiled, but he didn't return your smile. "Uh-hu."
"They were running out of workers, and the pay is good!" You said as you dragged him to the foreman's office, where he was given a helmet and the tools he would need out there.
You almost laughed out loud when you saw Muzan with the helmet on and tools in his hands. He looked exactly like a cat in water!
"Alright, I'll drop by later to bring you something to eat! Have fun!" You smiled as you left, and true to your word, you returned a couple of hours later with homemade ham and cheese sandwiches.
Of course, you couldn't walk around at the worksite, so you made your way to the foreman's office once again so he could call Muzan to eat.
There was only one problem.
"Your friend left."
"Excuse me?"
"Yep."
"He did what!?" You looked at the man with your eyes wide open in shock, and he nodded with a frown, "Yeah, he took one look around and said that this was something monkeys should do."
"Oh my God," You were so embarrassed, "I'm so sorry!"
"It's okay, but he isn't exactly wanted back here anymore."
"I'm sorry, please just give him a chance! I'll knock some sense into him!"
"Sorry, but I've made up my mind." The man shook his head, and you sighed in loss, "I see… Well, thank you for the chance."
"You're welcome. Good luck with that friend of yours."
And you left, but God, you were furious. You picked your phone from your pocket and called Muzan, but the fucker wasn't answering.
"That smug piece of-!" You hissed as you made your way back home. You saw Muzan's shoes by the entrance, so you knew he was back home.
"MUZAN!" You shouted as you slammed his room's door open, and the man, ever so calmly, turned to look at you, "Yes? What is it?"
"How could you!?" You were so angry, "I got you a job and you just bailed!? Do you know how many strings I had to pull to get that job for you!?"
"That job wasn't worthy of me."
"You didn't even try!"
"And I won't need to." He rolled his eyes, "For your sake, I found another job."
"What?" You stilled, and he nodded as he turned his back to you again, "You're welcome."
"Wait, wait!" You frowned, "What job? An actual job that pays money?"
Muzan sighed out loud as he turned to look at you, "Yes. While I was leaving that primates' playground, I ran into a scout from a modeling agency, and they wanted me to pose for them."
"Did you do it?"
"Obviously, they knew how to treat a King like me properly." He rolled his eyes, "They hired me on the spot."
"Wait, you're a model now?"
"Yes."
"How-!" You couldn't understand the luck this man had! You sighed in defeat as you nodded, "Fine, be a model. As long as you help me with bills and food expenses, I don't care if you do porn."
"Speaking of food." Muzan reached for his pocket and threw something at you. Quick as you were, you caught the thing and saw that it was a hefty wad of money.
"I'm feeling like eating Peking duck today. Order something for yourself also while you are at it."
"You…!" You growled before sighing and turning to leave, "Fine! I'm ordering something for myself also!"
"I mean it." Muzan said without even looking at you, "I need my only good servant full and happy. Otherwise, you might perform poorly for me."
You were pretty sure he meant that as praise, but it sounded anything but that. "I'm your roommate, not a servant!"
"Call yourself whatever you like if that makes you feel any better."
Hashiras with a reader who is a tarot reader? (Platonic) The reader is a good tarot reader and always gets their readings right.
You were something special. You weren't a Demon, but many had mistaken you as one due to your high psychic powers.
To help yourself channel your powers, you turned to cards, each with a different piece of art on them, and different meanings depending on which side or way they were turned.
You can tell if something good is coming or if something unfortunate is approaching.
Once, you predicted to a married couple who couldn't conceive no matter how hard they tried, that if they did precisely as you instructed, then they would get the child they so dearly wanted.
9 months later, the woman gave birth to strong and healthy twins.
After that, you became extremely popular. People were so excited and lined up for hours to have you read their future for them, even if you told each and every single client of yours that you only read the future and that you didn't write it.
They were so eager to see what the future held for them that they ignored your warnings.
So when a rich man came to you, asking for you to read his cards, you did as you were told... And you saw him losing everything. His money, fortune, and finally, his life.
The man had been furious with you and had called you a fraud before leaving... But as time passed, the man lost his money and fortune, and the next thing was his own life.
The man came to you, begging on his knees with tears streaming down his face, for you to read his cards again and change his future. To save his life.
You took pity on him and read his cards, but the outcome was one way or another the same. He was doomed to die.
A couple of days later, they found him dead, and all attention shifted to you.
People blame you for his and their ill fortune... But you're not the one writing their future, you just predicted it. No matter what, no one can change their future once it has been read for them.
After all... Cards are never wrong.
To get a better understanding of your situation, you read your own future and saw certain death if you stayed. You had to flee in order to survive, and then you came to a crossroads.
You didn't trust luck, only in your cards, so you read what they had to say, and the answers were both so different.
If you turned to the left, you could obtain powers far greater than what you already had, but if you took the right one, you could help humanity.
You had enough power at it was, and thus, you chose the right way, and that is how you met Amane Ubuyashiki, who immediately brought you to her husband, Master Kagaya.
They asked for you to read their future, but you weren't blind; you could tell that the young Master carried a nasty, vicious curse on him.
You told them that you couldn't write the future, only read it, but they were willing to accept any future you would give them.
So you read their cards, and the message was clear. Master Ubuyashiki Kagaya was going to die, no matter what.
The family fell quiet, and you frowned as you bowed, "I'm sorry, but this is the future that is set."
You were certain they would get upset and angry with you... But they just smiled and nodded, "No, it's not your fault. You're just doing what we asked you to."
No one had been that kind to you, not after you predicted how bad their future would be. You were stunned, and they smiled as they offered you a place amongst them.
And you accepted in a heartbeat, and thus, you became the fortune-teller of the Corps. There, you were respected, and you enjoyed helping others. You even started to teach young Ubuyashiki children how to read cards.
They had asked if you could help them in their fight against Demon King Muzan, but no matter how much you tried to locate the Demon.
You couldn't pinpoint his exact locations, like there was something covering and protecting him, but despite you failing, you were still respected.
So much that even some Hashiras came to hear their fortunes being read to them.
Some together.
"You share a bond strong enough to unite the two of you even in the next life."
Some alone.
"Your life falls short, but your brave, selfless actions will last forever."
"Enjoy what you have now, because soon you might lose what truly matters to you."
"I see loss in your future, but it won't be fatal, so fear not.. It might even open your eye to things and people that matter to you the most."
You were so fond of the people in the corps, Hashiras especially. So much so that your grim predictions made you sad that you couldn’t change their fate, even if you wanted to…
Yet, they still treated you fairly and were brave and ready to face their future head-on.
You admired them for that, and you swore you’d keep reading your cards until you found the prediction that would bring happiness to everyone you cared for and more.
Hello! I'd like part 2 of the Hashiras with Reader Tsugoku, which is like GoldShip from Uma Musume!
What would happen if Reader (who is very stubborn when training and is prone to getting distracted, bored, or having mood swings) upon completing a difficult training or mission (which Hashira didn't have much faith in) Reader were to kick or hit Hashira! after completing the training or mission! (The horse Goldship had a habit of kicking its trainer after winning a race) 🥹(It even seems that the reader's strength, speed, precision, and reflexes increase drastically when hitting the hashira!) 💀
PART 1 - PART 2 - PART 3
They all react in different ways. Even after completing a difficult mission or going through an especially rough training session, you clearly have too much energy, and you don't know how to channel it right, so you're taking it out on your Master.
Giyu won't tolerate such ridiculous and unstable behavior. The moment you start acting out, he will immediately strike you down, as he takes no bullshit or disobedience.
"Calm yourself," He looked down at you on the ground with those calm blue eyes of his, "The fight is over."
You will remember this...! And Giyu doesn't mind because he will do it again if he has to.
Shinobu would blink and smile as she dodges your first attack, making some distance between the two of you.
"My my! You're energetic tonight!" She would smile like everything was okay and made no attempt to move when you launched yourself at her... And the next thing you know, there is a needle in your thigh and you're suddenly feeling so tired...
"Sleep it off," Shinobu would giggle as she removed the needle, and you fell on the ground, unconscious, but happily snoring.
"Oh dear!" Mitsuri would gasp as you attacked her, but she would quickly dodge your attacks while STILL being worried and concerned about you.
"Are you okay? Should I call Shinobu to check on you? Are you perhaps hungry? Would pancakes make you feel better?" She would ask hundreds of questions, and finally, you would run out of energy to fight her, as she wore you down with her kindness and thoughtfulness.
Obanai will easily dodge your attacks because, compared to your actual fighting, you're being sloppy. Your attacks may be strong and fast, but those mean nothing if your attacks won't hit.
"Stop acting like an idiot!" The Serpent Hashira would hiss before quickly disappearing and appearing behind you, but just as you were about to punch him, he snapped his hand at the back of your neck and knocked you out cold.
In a way, your behavior makes sense, but God help you if you try to hit or kick Gyomei. The strongest Hashira doesn't hesitate; he will slam you into the ground like he did to Inosuke.
"Namu Amida Butsu... Forgive me... Are you calm now, little one?"
You can't exactly speak with your head in the ground, but at least you are still now.
Tengen actually LAUGHS when you attempt to either kick or hit him. The flashy Hashira will quickly catch you, and after making sure you won't be able to sucker punch him, he sets you over his lap and starts your punishment.
"Seems like you can't remember what happens when you act out!" He laughed out loud as he raised his hand and brought it down on your butt with a loud SMACK, "Don't worry, I'll make sure your butt will remember!"
"I see you still have some energy left!" Kyojuro would laugh as he grabbed his wooden katana that you two used when training, "That's good! Means we can continue training!"
It's been 5 hours, how can he still be moving? You briefly wondered if your Master really was a human, because he had energy like Demons had. Not that you mind, you enjoy taking your energy out, and he enjoyed channeling it right.
Muichiro will evade your attacks, and he even taunts you, telling you how sloppy and reckless you are being. This may annoy you, and while you do get stronger and quicker, your accuracy suffers a lot.
"You're strong..." The youngest Hashira would nod, "But still lacking..."
"The fuck!?" Sanemi will snap as you attempt to kick him like a fucking donkey, and he will immediately punch your head, stopping you on your tracks.
"Calm the fuck down, you little shit! Who do you think you are kicking!?"
You pout, but you can't really argue against him. Not when there is a huge and painful bump on your head. The Wind Hashira would frown and spit on the ground, but then add, "You'd better learn from me if you actually want to land a kick!"
Summary: After losing the love of your life and her kids, you promised to take care of those who were left. You did your best, and hopefully, God will see it also.

GYOMEI ART TRADE
PART 1 - PART 2
You were maybe an outlaw, a criminal, but that was back in your world. Here, in Japan, you were just a mysterious woman, even weird to some, but you never gave two shits what someone thought about you.
Only one who mattered to you was the love of your life, Shizu Shinazugawa, and her lovely kids that you cherished so much… And now they were gone.
Well, not all of them. The two eldest children, Sanemi and Genya, survived, but Sanemi hated you, and rightfully so. You weren’t there when they needed you, and you would carry that guilt of yours until the day you died.
Sanemi wanted to have nothing to do with you, and even if you wanted to reach out to him, you didn’t know where he had gone after that brutal, bloody night when he lost most of his family.
That left you with the second-oldest child, Genya. He was heartbroken, you both were when you lost Shizu, but you couldn’t fall into despair and give up. For Genya’s sake, you had to keep going.
You had promised Shizu that you would protect her and her kids, and even if you failed, you were a woman of your word. You would keep going… For Genya’s and even Sanemi’s sake.
You and Genya left the small village and started to travel across Japan, and as you did that, you started to teach the young boy how to protect himself.
You showed him your guns, your dear revolvers that had saved you from some very tricky and dangerous situations, and taught him how to use them.
Poor Genya’s hands were shaking with the effort to keep the gun stable as you instructed him how to shoot empty bottles as training… But after a couple of lessons, you noticed that the boy was natural with firearms.
As you traveled, you heard things about people, Slayers, who hunted Demons for a living. They were urban legends, as Demons weren’t real, but you had seen it firsthand, and you knew they were real, and so you were sure that the Slayers were real also.
But as you were searching, you took it as your mission to kill every single Demon you would cross, but you didn’t know how to kill them other than letting the sun burn them to a crisp, so you lassoed them and tied them to a tree and let the sun do its job.
You and Genya had made a little camp in the middle of the forest where you would rest for the night. You always insisted on staying up and watching the fire while the young boy rested…
But this was already the 6th night you tried to stay up while your body was demanding that you needed rest. You took one look at the resting Genya and closed your eyes for a second…
Only to be startled awake by a furious scream… It was Genya’s voice.
“Genya!” You bolted up and ran towards the loud scream, your guns in your hands and ready to shoot whatever it was that attacked Genya!
…But nothing prepared you for what you saw. Genya was hunched over and eating something…?
“G- Genya?” You asked as you approached him, but it was like he couldn’t hear you. Not until you stepped and snapped a twig beneath your foot.
The young man whipped around, and your eyes widened in horror as you saw him. This wasn’t the sweet Genya you knew; this creature’s mouth was covered in blood, sharp fangs peeking as they panted, and eyes dark as the night sky.
“Genya!” You cried out loud as you felt dread fill your stomach. What happened? Why had he turned into a Demon? How could you fail like this!? Why did you let this happen to him!? You closed your eyes for a second, and this happened!?
As you felt your blood turn cold, Genya took his chance and attacked you. You cried out as you raised your arms, your gun actually going off, and the loud bang echoed through the woods.
You hadn’t shot him; your gun just went off as you raised your arm to protect yourself from an oncoming attack.
You winced as Genya sank his sharp fangs into your forearm, blood spewing and the smell of iron filling the air. You tried to pull your arm free, but his hold on you tightened to the point you were seriously hurt.
“Genya- Calm down- Please! I don’t want to hurt you!” You cried out, “I don’t want to lose you either!”
You tried everything, but you couldn’t reach him anymore. You realized what you had to do.
“I’m sorry…!” You cried as you raised your unharmed hand and positioned your other pistol directly against Genya’s temple. Tears rose to your eyes, and your trigger finger shook like a leaf in the wind…
“I’m sorry, Shizu…!” You closed your eyes as you dropped your guns on the ground. You would rather die than harm the son whom you loved like his mother loved him.
You were ready to succumb to your fate, your vision going blurry, but just as you were losing your consciousness, you saw someone appear and-!
You groaned as you slowly came to your senses. Your eyelids felt heavy and your arm hurt like Hell, way worse than the time you got shot… But then you remembered Genya, and you sat up in record speed, looking around in panic.
You weren’t in the woods anymore, but in a house? You blinked, but then you noticed something in the corner of your eye, and you turned to look and saw Genya by your bedside.
“G- Genya…?” You gasped as you looked at him. He looked absolutely exhausted, and that must have been the reason why he had collapsed by your bed.
“My, I see you’re awake!”
You blinked as you turned around and saw a lady, a very beautiful one at that, step into the room.
“Where am I?” You asked, and the lady smiled as she walked next to your bed.
“You’re in Butterfly Mansion.” She said, “My name is Kocho Shinobu. And you are?”
You gave her your name, and she nodded, pleased with your answer.
“Good. Now, let’s check this arm of yours, alright?” She asked as she gently raised your arm, and you noticed for the first time the bandages on it. Shinobu removed the white bandages on your arm, and you winched a little when you saw the nasty bite on your arm.
“Taking the situation, it looks good,” She nodded, “I disinfected your wound so it shouldn’t get infected, but if you’re in too much pain, I can give you something for pain?”
As nice as it was being treated, you had bigger things to worry about than your arm.
“Genya, he-?” You looked at the resting young man, and the kind woman nodded, “He is alright now. No need to worry.”
“I… I see…” You were so happy, you felt like crying, but you tried your hardest to keep the tears from falling. Instead, you turned to look at Shinobu and asked, “Are you the one who saved us?”
“No, I’m simply treating you both. The man who saved you is waiting outside the room.” The kind woman replied, and you nodded, determined, “Can I meet him? I’d like to thank him.”
“Of course,” Shinobu nodded as she turned to look at the room’s entrance, “Himejima-san? You can come on in now.”
There were a couple of thumps, and your eyes widened when you saw this huge man step into the room. You were stunned; you never knew someone could be as tall or muscular as he was. Was he blind also?
“Namu Amida Butsu…” The man prayed quietly, “I’m glad you’re alright…”
“You saved us?” You asked, and the man nodded, “I did.”
“I… Thank you…” You swallowed as a question came to your mind, “Are you perhaps Demon Slayers?”
Shinobu glanced at the huge man before they both nodded, “Yes? You’ve heard of us?”
“I’ve been looking for you,” You nodded, “I want to do what you do.”
“You want to slay Demons?”
“Yes.” You nodded, absolutely sure that it was what you wanted. What you and Genya wanted, “We both want to.”
“Namu Amida Butsu…” The huge man prayed again, “What do you know about Demons?”
“That they heal unless you burn them in sunlight.”
“That’s all?”
You nodded, and Shinobu, and the man she introduced as Gyomei, told you everything. About the breathing techniques, the ways to kill Demons, and how they were made. Once you heard that there was this Demon King responsible for all Demons, you were filled with rage.
Shizu and everyone were dead because of this monster. You wanted justice, you wanted revenge, and you were determined to get them.
“What do I need to do to become a Slayer like you two?” You asked, and Shinobu tilted her head slightly, “Can you wield a weapon?”
“I’m a good shot.” You replied as you raised your dominant arm, but you winched in pain, the bite wound feeling like it was on fire.
“I’m afraid that won’t be enough…” Gyomei frowned, “You won’t make it out there with guns only.”
“Himejima-san is right.” Shinobu nodded as she looked at your bitten arm, “And I’m afraid you won’t be able to wield a gun as well as you used to. Not now with this severe damage to your arm’s nerves.”
“Ah, I see…” You still had your other arm, and you could hold a gun with it, but you were more confident in your dominant arm.
You realized that there was a chance that you wouldn’t be able to become a Slayer, as you knew nothing about swords; you were a gunslinger, born and raised… But if Genya wanted to go after the Demons, he had to learn how to use a sword too.
“Please, I beg of you!” You cried out as you lowered your head in respect, and you cried, “I’m begging you to take this boy under your wing!”
“Namu Amida Butsu…” Gyomei started to cry, “This boy doesn’t possess a breathing technique… There is nothing I can teach him-!”
“He will die out there without your help!” You snapped, “And it would kill me to hear if something bad happened to him!”
“He bit you, and yet you still want what’s best for him?” Shinobu asked, and you lowered your head more, “Yes! I promised his mother I would look after him… And I only want-!”
“If you want his best, then you take him and live a normal life.” Gyomei said, but you shook your head, “This is what Genya wants… And I want to support him!”
The young lady who treated you looked at her companion, and the huge man prayed quietly, “Namu… Very well, I will take him, but I won’t go easy on him.”
“Thank you…!” You felt your eyes sting as tears rose to your eyes, and you sobbed a little, despite your best efforts to keep yourself from crying.
Genya flinched, your crying waking him up, and he looked at you in worry, “Auntie? Are you okay?”
“Oh, Genya!” You smiled as you saw him and you quickly hugged him, minding your arm, “I’m so glad you’re alright!”
“Y- Yeah, but are you alright…?” He asked, and you pulled away from the hug and smiled, “I’m fine, Genya, thank you.”
“I… I can’t remember much…” He frowned, “I remember a Demon being there… And then, I can’t remember…!”
“It’s okay,” You smiled as you nodded, “I’m okay.”
“Your arm…?”
“Just a scratch!” You laughed as you raised your arm, holding in the wince, and any expressions of pain as you tried to appear strong before the young man, “I’ll be up on my feet in no time!”
Genya nodded before he looked up at Gyomei and Shinobu, and then at you, “Are these the people who saved us?”
“Yes,” You nodded, “And Sir Himejima here agreed to teach you how to slay Demons.”
“Y- You will!?” Genya looked at Gyomei with such big hopes in his eyes, and the huge man nodded, “Namu, I’ll take you both as my Tsugukos.”
“Both?” You turned to look at him, and the man nodded, “Yes. I’ll train you both.”
“Thank you!” You and Genya cried out loud, and that is how you became Tsugukos to one and only Stone Hashira.
Genya’s training started immediately, as you were still hurt, and it was brutal. Gyomei didn’t hold back at all, but Genya was strong-willed and eager to learn. You would follow their training sessions, and when the young man had free time, you would train him with guns.
It took time, and you healed, but you quickly noticed that your arm wasn’t what it used to be. You had a pretty clear idea what was wrong, but you still went to see Shinobu, just in case you were wrong.
…You weren’t.
“I’m afraid your nerves were damaged when you got bitten,” Shinobu said, and you frowned.
You had seen this before: a guy gets bitten by a wolf or just an overprotective dog, and they never hold the gun again. At least not like they used to.
“There is very little we can do, but-!”
“It’s okay,” You nodded, as you flexed your fingers, finding even a task as simple as that difficult. You cursed in your mind, but you didn’t blame anyone for this injury. Especially not Genya.
“Really, it is,” You said as you got up from your seat and went to pick up your good old Stetson hat, which was hanging by the door. Once your hat was back in its rightful place on your head, you tilted it at Shinobu and left.
As you walked to the inner yard, you noticed Genya practicing with Gyomei… And you saw that proud smile on his face when he used his brand new wakizashi successfully on a training dummy.
You couldn’t help but smile as you saw him look so proud of himself, much like back then when you first taught him how to wield a firearm.
You had big decisions to make… And as much as they hurt you, you knew they were the right ones.
You couldn’t hold Genya back. He had so much hidden potential in him, but you had reached your expiration date. You had taught that boy everything you knew about guns, and now it was Himejima’s job to teach him the rest he would need in order to survive out there.
That in mind, you packed your things and once the night came, you left… You didn’t make it far, though.
“Auntie!”
“Genya?” You gasped as you turned around and saw the young man run at you. He stopped right in front of you, and your heart almost broke again when you saw the hurt in his eyes.
“You’re leaving!?”
“Only for a short while-!” You tried to lie, but he caught you quickly.
You frowned as you wanted to lie to him, as you didn’t want to hurt him any more than you had to… But you had to be honest with him.
“You have every right to be angry at me…” You sighed, “But you will learn here. Me? I have things I must do.”
“Like what!?” He cried out, “What is more important to you than me?!”
“I…” You looked at your damaged, shaky arm and sighed, “I’m going to find this Demon King… And I’m going to kill him.”
“Then take me with you-!”
“NO!” You snapped, as it was time for some tough love, even if it hurt both you and him. “Boy, you are better off here where you have food and a roof over your head! I can’t guarantee those to you, not while I’m on the road!”
“But I don’t care about those-!”
“Well, I do!” You scowled as it hurt you to be so rough at Genya, “So you stay here, understood?! If you trust me, then you do as I say!”
Genya was stunned that you shouted like that at him. You sighed as your heart hurt, but you knew you had to leave, or else you would chicken out and become a hindrance to him.
You turned to leave, but you managed to take only one step before Genya stunned you with his words.
“Is it because I hurt you…?” He sounded so small, “Is it because of me…?”
“How did you-?” You whipped around and saw him clenching his shirt as if he was trying his hardest not to cry.
“I heard you talk with Master Himejima and Kocho…” Genya looked so guilty, he was on the brink of tears, “If I hadn’t-!”
“It’s not your fault.” You said as you reached forward with your non-dominant hand and gently petted that mohawk of his that you loved so much, “Nothing that happened was your fault and you shouldn’t blame yourself for it.”
“But-!”
“I don’t, so neither should you.” You smiled lovingly as you reached forward and gently pecked the top of the young man’s head, “We will see again, mark my word. After all, I’m a woman of my word.”
You were so full of bullshit, but you wanted to believe yourself and that you would try and attempt to keep your promise.
“So, let’s say bye-bye instead of farewell?”
“A- Alright…!” Genya was on the brink of tears again. You smiled sadly as you kissed the top of his head again, and finally, you turned and left… With tears streaming down your face.
Years passed as you kept hunting Demons and trying to extract information about this Demon King of theirs, but most held their mouths in fear, when they should have realized that it was you whom they should have feared.
At one point during your travels, you had managed to get your hands on a Nichirin sword that had belonged to a Slayer you had found dead with a Demon feasting on them. You sent that Demon back to Hell and took the sword after burying its owner out of respect.
You were ruthless, even more so with a Nichirin sword in your hands. You had a technique. You would shoot the Demon’s knees so their legs would give up, and that was when you delivered the finishing blow and quickly decapitated them before they could recover.
You killed hundreds of them… And still you hadn’t managed to find nearly enough information to be useful… One day, a talking crow, or Kasugai crow, you had learned, came to you, requesting that you meet with Master Ubuyashiki himself.
Of course, you agreed, thinking that he may have some useful information or the other way around… But you didn’t expect to meet his wife instead.
“I thank you for coming.” Amane Ubuyashiki bowed to you and you bowed back out of sheer respect, “Pleasure is mine, ma’am.”
“My husband and I are aware of your status when it comes to killing Demons… And we would like to ask you to train our Slayers how to wield firearms.”
“Me?” You frowned, and the beautiful woman nodded, “You’re by far the greatest gunman the Corps has heard of, and we would benefit greatly from your assistance.”
“I’m not that great.” You frowned as you glanced at your arm, “Not anymore.”
“Yet you have taken down enough Demons to be promoted to Hashira’s level.” She nodded, “We need your guidance against the oncoming battle against the Demon King-!”
“I’m in.” You said quicker than you had ever pulled your gun out, and Lady Amane looked at you, slightly stunned, “You are?”
“Yes, if you promise to include me in this battle.” You nodded, and the woman nodded, “I will respect your wish as you respect ours.”
You both bowed and got up, Lady Amane showing you where you would be staying and where you would be teaching the Slayers when it came to ranged weaponry. You set to work quickly and started training the young men and women as best as you could.
You didn’t expect to meet with both Genya and Sanemi again… Or how hostile the elder brother was towards his only surviving family member.
It was Sanemi, there was no denying that! He was full of scars, and his eyes were sharper, but you had no doubt that this was the same boy you had sworn to protect. Genya had grown so much, you barely recognized him.
You wanted to keep your distance from them, unsure how they would react to seeing you, but then you saw Sanemi nearly blind his own brother, and you knew you couldn’t stay quiet anymore.
“Sanemi Shinazugawa!” Your voice left no room for arguing as you were angry. Both brothers and this young man who had saved Genya turned to look at you as you made your way down the hall to them.
“You…!?” Sanemi growled at the sight of you, while Genya gasped, “Auntie…?”
“Tell me I saw wrong, tell me you did not just try to hurt your own brother!?” You were mad, but Sanemi looked just as pissed, if even more.
“You dare to come here and tell me what to do!?” He hissed at you venomously, and you silently thanked all these years under your belt, as you had heard and seen much worse things than his hissing.
“Apologize to your brother!”
“Stop treating me like a fucking brat!”
“Act like one, and be treated as one!” You snapped right back at him as you crossed your arms. Sanemi scowled as he shot a glare at his younger brother and his savior, before marching away.
You huffed, feeling exhausted by simply standing up for your grounds in front of the young man… But then you looked and saw the stunned look on Genya’s and this young man’s eyes, and you smiled, “Long time no see, Genya, my dear boy.”
“Auntie!” Genya gasped as he rushed to hug you, and you laughed as you returned the favor, “Oh my, you have grown up so much! Someone has been eating their vegetables!”
“Auntie, this is my friend, Kamado Tanjiro.” The young man introduced you to this kind one who had saved him.
“Thank you for helping Genya,” You smiled as you tilted your hat to Tanjiro, but that was when you noticed all the huge, swollen bruises he had.
“Holy cow! Boy, what have you been doing, taming wild horses and riding bulls!?”
“I- Uh- No?” Tanjiro laughed lightly, “It’s nice to meet you! Genya has told me a lot about you, miss!”
“Ah, he has?” You glanced at Genya, who smiled a little bashfully and nodded, “A little bit…?”
“He told me you were the one who taught him to use guns so well!” Tanjiro smiled, and you couldn’t help but chuckle, “Genya was a natural talent.”
You didn’t miss how the young man seemed to flinch at your words. No one ever told him he had talent for anything… No one but you.
“I'd better get going, but you two are welcome to the shooting range if you want to learn?” You looked at Tanjiro and then Genya, “Or show me how much you’ve improved?”
“Thank you, Auntie!” Both young men nodded, and you smiled as you left…
Later that day, you heard that Sanemi had gotten into a big fight with Tanjiro, which earned at least Tanjiro being kicked out of the Wind Hashira’s training grounds. You weren’t sure what happened to Genya, but you were sure he was heartbroken by his brother’s behavior.
So you waited until the Wind Hashira returned… And as soon as he saw you, he nearly spat on the ground.
“What are YOU doing here?”
“Dick move, Sanemi.” You frowned, “Where did you learn to act that way? Was it your father?”
“Don’t you dare to compare us!” Sanemi moved faster than you had seen anyone move, drawing his katana at you, but you quickly pulled out your good old revolver with your working hand and used it to block his attack and throw him back.
“Fuck you!”
“Your mother-!”
“Is dead because of you!” He snapped, and you forced yourself not to flinch as he blamed you for what happened. Hell, you still blamed yourself for that, too.
“I don’t need some handicap liar to tell me what to do!” Sanemi hissed as he sheathed his sword and turned to leave.
“Sanemi-!” You tried to call after him, but-!
“Go to Hell!” The young man snapped, his voice dripping hate and venom so potent that it left you paralyzed on the spot.
You were a strong woman and proud of it. Always had been… But you never felt as small and hurt as you currently felt as tears streamed down your face…
A couple of days passed… And then there was the explosion, followed by a sound of Biwa, and you found yourself in this weird place, lit by lights, filled with Demons, and more and more Slayers were getting summoned there.
As a Demon attacked you, you quickly blew its head off and started running while gunning down any Demon that dared to come your way. You had to find Genya and Sanemi!
Time was lost to you. You fought maybe 5 minutes or 5 hours; you couldn’t tell. Your body moved on its own accord, and maybe that is why you jumped forward, taking a sword’s slice meant for Genya.
That was when time finally stopped. You stared at the roof, or was it the floor above you? You gasped for breath as you struggled to breathe. You couldn’t feel anything… Wasn’t that often the case when someone was dying?
“Auntie!” You heard blood-chilling cries, and you forced your heavy eyes open and saw both Sanemi and Genya, both alive, holding you in their arms.
“Genya… Nemi…?” You looked at them, trying to see any wounds on them, and of course, they had some, but nothing lethal yet anyway.
“Thank God…” You couldn’t help but smile despite the gravity of the situation, “You’re okay…”
“Auntie!”
“I-!” You choked, followed by a bloody cough as blood filled your lungs, “I kept my promise… To your mother…”
“Don’t talk!” Sanemi snapped, but he was crying, just like Genya was, “Auntie, you can’t die!”
“Himejima…?” You think you saw him in the fight also…? You were having difficulty seeing anymore, far at least.
“I’m here…” Came the Stone Hashira’s voice, and you smiled, “Thank you… For looking after my boys…”
“No… Auntie…!” Both brothers were crying as you started to slowly drift away, “Boys… I’m going to see your mother and others…”
“Auntie…!” Sanemi ground his teeth together in fury, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry for everything I said or did! Please don’t go to Hell! Stay with us!”
“It’s… It’s farewell… For now…” You smiled, “Please keep living… Happily…”
You were at peace, finally.
…But where exactly were you at? You looked around, seeing nothing but darkness… But then you heard a sob? You turned, and your eyes widened as you saw the familiar yellow kimono that Shizu loved.
“S-!” You swallowed as a huge lump formed in your throat, and you carefully reached for her, “Shizu?”
The woman in question gasped as she whipped around and started crying at the sight of you. She repeated your name like a mantra and nearly fell on her knees if you hadn’t caught her.
“Shizu, my dear, why are you still here?” You asked, “Shouldn’t you be in Heaven with kids…?”
“I can’t…!” She sobbed, “I can’t… Not after I killed them…!”
“It wasn’t your fault…” You said as you hugged her close, “It really wasn’t…”
“Still…! I have no place in Heaven!”
“Then…” You frowned, “Where are you going?”
“To Hell…”
You swallowed as you looked around. Is this what it was? Was this dark place Hell?
“In that case…” You squeezed her gently, “I’ll come with you-!”
“No!” She cried out as she pushed you away from her. You blinked, stunned by her actions, but as you reached for her, she slapped your hand away.
“Please…” Shizu cried, “Go to Heaven and be with my children…”
“But Shizu-!”
“They have been alone for so long…” She looked at you, “They loved you so much… So, won’t you please go and be with them? For my sake?”
You wanted to object, you wanted to cry and shout!
…But the more you thought about it, the more it made sense. But you couldn’t just accept things like this.
“Alright…” You nodded, giving up, “I’ll go, but please, promise me something?”
“W- What is it?”
“If we were to be born again… And we met… Could you give me a chance?”
Shizu sobbed, and you swallowed, feeling awful, but then she raised her head, and you were stunned as you finally saw that beautiful smile of hers that you loved so much.
“In a heartbeat.” She smiled through tears, and you dared to think that they were ones of joy. You couldn’t form words, your bottom lip trembled as you started crying so hard that your eyes hurt.
“I’m glad…!” You hiccupped through tears. Shizu sniffled also, but took her kimono’s sleeve and used it to wipe your tears away…
“Please don’t cry?” She gently cupped your face with her petite hand. You nodded through your tears as you took her hand and kissed it.
And just as you did that, you saw light shining on you from somewhere above.
“Auntie Konpeito!”
“Is it you?”
“We missed you!”
Ah, that must have been your cue to leave… But you weren’t quite done yet.
“I love you, Shizu…!” You sobbed as you looked at her, “And I always will!”
“Thank you…” She smiled, “Now, please go?”
And so you went towards the light, and the closer you got, the clearer the kids turned. You couldn’t help but cry again, this time from pure joy as you finally saw the kids you had loved like they were your own.
“Everybody…!” You sobbed as you fell on your knees, as your legs gave out, but the kids surrounded you, hugging you happily, “We missed you so much!”
“I’m here now…” You cried as you tried your hardest to smile, “And I’m not leaving you alone ever again…”
In your next life, you were born in another country, but as you grew older, you got the memories from your last life back. Thus, your heart and soul desired Japan, so when you got your memories back, you quit your job and moved to Japan.
It wasn’t easy, but you managed with the memories of your last lives with you. Your heart desired Shizu, but Japan was a very populated place… And even if Shizu were born again, how could you find her?
No matter, you chose not to give up, but after searching for 2 years already, you were starting to lose hope…
You were on your way back to your humble apartment from your workplace, your head in the clouds as you thought about the delicious instant ramen you had back at your place and a small can of beer…
When you suddenly ran into someone, a woman, and knocked her down to her knees. Her bag full of apples fell all around you two, and you felt a distant feeling like you had lived through this once, maybe?
“Ah, pardon me, ma’am!” You gasped as you dropped your bag and started to help the woman, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going, and-!”
“It’s alright-!” She was saying, but then you two looked at each other and your eyes widened in shock.
“S- Shizu…?” You gasped, and she smiled, “My heroine with a cowboy hat?”
“Ha ha,” You laughed lightly, “It’s actually called a Stetson, but-!” You didn’t get to finish your sentence. Shizu jumped on you, and you fell on your back on the ground as she hugged you.
“I missed you…” She said, and you smiled as you wrapped your arms around her and held her against your chest.
“Me too…” You admitted, “I’m sorry it took me so long to find you…”
“It doesn’t matter!” She raised her head to look at you, “You’re finally here.”
“And I’m never leaving.” You smiled as you kissed her, “Never again.”
Shizu started crying in joy, and you helped her up on her feet and picked up her precious apples before you offered to escort her back home… Where all seven kids of hers were waiting.
“Children, I don’t know if you remember, but this here is-!”
“Auntie Konpeito!” Kids cheered as they ran to you, and you laughed in joy as they surrounded you.
“Hello there!” You smiled and they looked at you, “We missed you!”
“I missed you also!” You nodded, but you noticed that there were only five out of seven. You looked around and saw young Genya and Sanemi looking at you from afar.
“Hi there,” You smiled as you waved to them. Seeing you wave gave them the courage to approach you, but as soon as they were close enough, they latched onto you like they didn’t want to ever let go.
“I’m sorry…!”
“Auntie…!”
“It’s okay…” You smiled as you hugged them, also, “I’m here now, and I’m never leaving you guys on your own ever again.”
