Is Devacurl Ruining Your Hair?

I wish companies would stop changing the formulas for their body washes. I have both sensitive skin AND sensory issues that make it very hard to find something that works for me. For the first two decades of my life, I actually used body wash for babies, because it was the only thing that my parents and I could find that didn't bother my skin. Then, in the middle of college, they changed the formula. It was maddening, and I spent months searching until I finally found a new body wash that worked for me. That is, it worked for me until a week ago, when I bought a new bottle and discovered that they'd completely changed the formula.
Why do they do this? Why do they want to chase their customers away by making their product drastically different? I could understand if the old formula was causing some health issues or something, but this seems like the company just got a hair up its butt to revamp things, and now I have to go searching for something new—which is both expensive and physically unpleasant.
I usually like taking a shower, because I both get clean AND get to be in a white noise machine for both my ears and my somatosensory system. It's calming and pleasant, and I come out feeling relaxed and ready for bed. Right now, my skin feels dry and itchy, and I'm stressed out, because the "moisturizing" wash I've tried the past few nights (to replace the transmogrified nightmare that was my good body wash) isn't working.
I'm sorry for complaining, but this just makes me mad. It's personally inconvenient, and it also just seems like the most wildly stupid business model in the universe. If you want to change your formula, then change your product's name too. I don't think I'm that weird to want to find a body wash that works for me and then use that every time I shower for the rest of my life.
I'm annoyed because they changed my favorite body lotion. It used to be lavander and chamomille and now it's lavander and vanilla which according to my mother smells like "baby ass".
