I fell out of love with you as we drifted apart. You kept pushing me to do my own things, to go back to work while I was dealing with some pretty serious health issues, to handle things on my own, and you kept begging to be left alone. You didn't want to spend time together much anymore, you just wanted to watch youtube on your phone, you didn't want to play games much or even watch anything together, you gave up on your own hobbies, you gave up on taking care of yourself in many ways. I still tried my best to help, but it felt more and more like you wanted a parent and not a partner. But you are an adult, and I am not responsible for you. And so, you went back to mommy and daddy. Your parents that you spent our entire relationship telling me how abusive they were for your whole life, and how they still are. You talked about it so much I had to establish boundaries that I could not manage those issues for you- because talking got nowhere but with both of us angry about it.

So as you decided to stall your life- I started making our room a home and cleaning everyday (with near no help, mostly from you), I started watching my new favorite show (that you hate), I got a new primary care, I got help with my stomach issues, I ended up asking out my best friend finally after waiting for years (you made majority of our relationship a closed triad- and even after you started dating others you made me terrified to try for a long time to date), I realized the relationship with my best friend was what I expect from a partner (while you kept pulling away and the fighting got worse), I started working on my art again, I started job searching when I felt ready, and all of that was enough to realize you were barely a positive part of my life anymore.

So about two weeks late as a response, yes, I already did fall out of love with you. I kept trying to make it work because no matter how many times I tried to end it, take a break, or even have a serious talk about our relationship, you wouldn't let me go. And the reason I seem so specifically cold? Because you pushed things to the extreme- to the point I was having near constant flashbacks. If you love someone, you would have taken that seriously when I told you.
