Tobi x Jackie. The two of them would be that couple in a pub // club that lightly poke each other to grab the others attention. As they walk passed one another on the dance floor, a soft gently poke in the side to say "I'm okay, I'm going this way"
Because the small gestures between them are more then just mere contact, they’re a conversation. They’ve gotten so used to each other, spent enough time together to take note and understand what they mean to say.
They aren’t one for grandiose displays of affection, certainly not in public. They prefer the little things. Intertwined hands mean “I’m with you.” A small hug means “I’ve got you, you’re safe.” And a smile from across the way?
It’s a language they’ve never practiced but one that resonates. They’ve become fluent in every small gesture, every touch, every incline of their head. And it’s more reassuring then words can say.
And when they’re ready to go - to spend the night together in each other’s arms - it’s a light tug and a short nod, and they both know it’s time to head home.
