On Sunday I had my friend Ryan Robert’s name on my jersey as I ran the @nycmarathon From Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens, to Manhattan, the Bronx and right through Central Park, everyone was yelling "Go Ryan!" "Go Roberts!" And when I say everyone, I mean someone yelled Ryan's name every 50 feet or so for the entire 26.2 miles. Here on the final stretch of the race, all I could hear was “Go Ryan!” all along 59th street. Ryan passed away too soon, but on Sunday he was cheered throughout all five boroughs and I couldn’t help but smile the entire race.
