What the actual fuck is going on with this Lloyd character assassination??? Like I genuinely don’t understand where this came from. As old as Lloyd is and as long as he’s been working on the ranch, this sudden behavior is so weird. What do you mean he’s fighting Walker over some 20 something year old barrel racer?? Like that makes no sense given what we’ve seen of him up to this point?

Does he feel like since he’s the oldest cowboy/ranch hand that he’s obsolete? Is it jealousy of the younger guys on the ranch, even though he’s had no problem with them until Walker became an issue? Why this storyline for Lloyd? If he dies before the end of season 4 due to his pride and insecurity, I’m gonna be so sick.

As you leaned against the fence, you could see a man saddling up and his father standing beside him. You assumed he was the rider's father anyway. Most buckle-bunnies, like yourself, went after the rider. But something about the man beside him interested you.

Lloyd prepared Jimmy as best he could for the ride. He was good, but it still worried Lloyd to have him go in the arena. He gave the thumbs-up and the gate opened. Lloyd watched, cheering Jimmy on with the rest of the audience. All but you. You were too busy watching him.

You decided to make a move, walking around to the other side. Passing the horses, you adjusted your hat back to show more of your face. You stood beside him, watching Jimmy ride.

"He's got a girlfriend," he said lowly. "Better go find a different rider."

"My friends will be disappointed," you chuckled. "I had someone else in mind." He turned and looked down at you. You greeted him with a smile.

It wasn't long before the two of you were pounding it out in the bathroom. He bent you over the sink and held your waist. As quickly as you two stumbled into that bathroom, you walked out and went your separate ways.

You pulled down the road to the Yellowstone ranch. It had been a long time since you saw your Uncle John and your cousins. The last time you were there was for your aunt's funeral. After losing her, you had no real reason to visit.

Hoping out of your car, you pulled your dress down a little. You started walking up to the house when you heard your name being called. You spun around and saw Lloyd. He was just as confused as you were to be seeing each other.

"What're you doin' here?" he asked, walking over to you.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing," you chuckled.

"I work here," he answered. "What're you doin' here?"

"Came to see...my uncle," you sighed. "You work here?" He nodded slowly, turning around to watch Jimmy walk his horse into the barn. "Jimmy does too?" He nodded again. "We can't tell-"

"No," he agreed. "Never."

"I mean it was great..."

"It was," he nodded.

"But Uncle John..." I started, shielding my eyes.

"Yeah, he won't know," he sighed.

"What happens at the rodeo, stays at the rodeo?" I laughed. He chuckled and nodded. I pulled him into a quick hug. "It's good to see you again, Lloyd."

"Yeah, you two, sweetheart," he smiled.
