Adrien pushed back in his chair, running wiry digits through messy locks. A long exhale filled his cramped space with air as neck fell back and he looked to the heavens. Really, it was the ceiling of a ship. What the fuck was he doing, stowing away on a cargo ship? His actions had been impulsive. Daring. A desperate plea for something new. For inspiration.
Eyes settled back to earth as he stared at the hand written words. The beginnings of his next film? Or cries of the heart?
Hand scooped the cover and slammed the book shut. “What the fuck am I doing?” Adrien muttered in French.
Just as he was about to push from his chair and sneak to the bathroom, a banging on the ships wall gave him pause. Shit. Did someone know he was here? Adrien thought the ship large enough that no one would notice him. He’d gotten lost, more than once, trying to go back and forth from the washroom.
