Almost a year since, and still the captain continues to work hard just so the abandoned ship would work again ---- - hammering and tinkering on metals, humming and drawing against parchment for plans ---- - it’s amusing, almost, to see how resilient one human can be if only it did not leave the vastaya so utterly bored and alone despite having been sat in the same metallic sea monster ( or so she lovingly calls the ship, if only to upset the captain ) sarah now spent her many days in.
The cold winter mixing into the air, Ahri shivers at the gentle breeze that comes as she made her way from the ship’s deck down to Sarah’s workshop, a knock or two against the cold steel wall before stepping into the room with quiet, albeit languid steps. “ Busy? ” Is all she says. During their time together, Ahri has learned Sarah prefers that when she’s busy and stressed. One worded conversations becoming the norm between them and, truth be told, it leaves the fox feeling rather... empty at times.
“ You ought to come outside, ” she turns her head to the small windows within the room, too small to see much outside, but enough for her to catch a glimpse of the forest markets, where people have begun setting up for the festival. “ Unless you would rather spend the rest of the day here again? ”
