A gasp, followed by a hiss. Ahri always did hate spars with Sarah. It’s as if she’s only being toyed about, so easy to take down, with or without the First Star’s blessing, and Ahri hated it the most whenever the red-head would prolong their play fights for her own amusement, giving the fox chances to win, only to deny her completely. It’s frustrating. Annoying. And it only boils her blood by the end of it all.
She feels Sarah’s hands wrap around her neck, and desperate for air, Ahri tightly wraps her own fingers around Sarah’s wrists, fingernails digging into her cold skin to no success.
Ahri always did hate fights with Sarah. Teeth gritted and small, pained gasps barely escaping from her lips as she struggles for air. She always loses and it’s scary to know that no matter how hard she tries, she’ll never outdo her. And it’s even scarier now as she watches with her blurred vision how the purple corruption only continues to crawl up Sarah’s skin the longer she held Ahri down, as if giving her more and more strength to strangle her. More reason to kill her.
“ S-Sarah ---- - Sarah ---- - ! ” Is all she could manage to say, whispering Sarah’s name over and over and over again as tears begin to fall down from her eyes. I’m sorry. This was almost a repeat from before. How it first begins with her requesting for help, and ends with friends fading into the Zoe’s dark corruption.
Perhaps she deserves this after all, to die in the hands of her dearest friend, for having failed again and again from saving them. The lack of air’s already beginning to blur her senses. This was it. This was to be the end of them and Ahri could all but pathetically reach out for Sarah, fingers barely managing to brush against the corrupted gunslinger’s cheeks as she whispers for the last time, choking back a sob as tears only begin to stream down from her eyes all the more.
“ I’m ---- - I’m sorry. ”
And finally, her hand falls. Limp. Lifeless.
