He hadn’t meant to come home so late, but he had gotten caught up with grading school papers and helping young Midoriya with a new move he had been practicing. “I’m sorry I’m so late” he continued as he fully stepped into the room.

The look he gave the advisor in return could kill. Reckless or not, Gladio felt he knew what he was doing. In battle, if you didn’t think on your feet. If you didn’t act you were as good as dead. It was better to follow your gut than to stew for more than a fraction of a second. And what was a few scrapes and bruises when it came to saving the others from a worse fate? He was heartier and at the end of the day. It was his job. No amount of criticism whether it came from the heart or not could stop him from acting in such a way. 

He sucks in his cheek, a disapproving sound coming forth. “I am protecting you so suck it up. Better me going down than you.”

Some might say he always looked like he needed a hug. Which wasn’t always true. Only some of the time did he need a hug and Mirio always seemed to know when that was. He made a noise and just leaned forward, thunking his head against the blonds chest before snuggling in. 

“I hope you know m’not moving for a while.” He pointed out, settling in for the long haul.

       if he were to rate the other guys on a scale of one to ten who was the best person to share a tent with, ignis would definitely rate the highest. he was sweet, even when prompto was incredibly annoying. even when prompto insisted on cuddling because he was cold, and he never complained when prompto couldn’t sleep and he would hum to himself. though, to be fair, he definitely had every right to complain and prompto wouldn’t have blamed him if he’d told him to shut the hell up. he deserved it a little bit. rustling in his sleeping bag, the blonde finally squirms out and crawls over to ignis’ own, shaking his shoulder lightly to get his attention.
