also, just your daily reminder that vernon presley was a sack of shit who had a major hand in killing elvis, and my portrayal of him in my fics will eventually shine light on the fact that he was a greedy bastard who had no regard for the quality of his son’s life.

the colonel and vernon are burning somewhere together, hand in hand. i can tell you that much.

i'm editing the fic right now, and then i'll be posting it, but i can't get this story out of my head. now it's y'all's problem:

random elvis fact: sonny was driving with his wife and child and noticed a woman and her own child laying in the middle of the road just two minutes away from graceland. he stopped the vehicle and helped to direct traffic until the cops could show up, but both the woman and her child had been run over by a car and killed (the child died on impact, but the woman died in the hospital). later that night sonny had cried to elvis telling him about how traumatic it had been to see that, and how the woman's husband was in texas and wasn't even there. elvis immediately said "sonny, i want you to buy that man a plane ticket and get him a room at a hotel. any medical bills that this family has outstanding at the hospital because of this situation, i want you to pay it all off."

elvis did things like this regularly. the woman was a complete stranger to him. he never told anyone about most of his charity or community work. it wasn't for show like it is for most celebrities. he did it because he genuinely cared about others.

hello guys ! it's me again- just wanted to further elaborate on the delay for this latest update. i've been getting so many sweet messages from you guys, even people checking in on me to make sure that i'm taking breaks in between editing ! just wanted to say first, before i get into the details of chapter four for "my bestest girl", that i really appreciate you all for not just your patience, but your kindness as well.

chapter four is the longest fic that i will have posted on my account if i do not end up splitting it in half. this chapter will include the humiliation that bordered on betrayal due to the "steve allen show" stunt (the hound dog performance), elvis feeling cornered and attacked by his mother's harsh interpretation of said performance, elvis turning to b.b king for advice, as well as the fated "trouble" concert and the consequences that soon followed. all of these topics were pivotal moments, and i want to be able to properly articulate not just what elvis was feeling, but the reader as well. i didn't want to cut out any of these important moments, especially his mother's involvement, because we (sadly) won't be seeing her in the fic for too much longer.

elvis was sent to texas for basic training, and in august of that same year(right before he was supposed to ship off) gladys passed away. they were able to delay that until october so that he could properly mourn. i don't want to draw this fic out, and seeing as nothing really happened while elvis was in texas, there will only be one more fic before gladys' unfortunate passing. so as you can see, this chapter is the most pivotal chapter thus far in this series. i'm putting a lot of emphasis on this not just being fun to read, but also historically accurate as well. i want you to feel like you're really there with him.

so- i am going to hoard this for another day or two. not too long, promise ! however, i am going to give you guys an option (because i love doing that. you guys deserve to have some sway in what i do with this account): if i split it in half, i will be able to post right now. right this second. if you guys want the full 15,000 word fic all at once, i can post very short little blurbs to get you all excited, and then post it all at once in a few days once i'm genuinely satisfied with the editing. (because this is seriously a masterpiece, and i want it to be perfect). what do you guys think?

I view it as- we are not perfect people we all have our downfalls. BUT I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE COLONEL HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL WHERE HE RESIDES

exactly. the more you learn about elvis, the more you love him. he was surrounded by people-pleasers who enabled him rather than trying to help. as much as i love the memphis mafia, i think that they should have done more for him. i remember watching a documentary, and jerry schilling said "we couldn't save elvis. elvis had to save elvis". when someone is severely sick, both mentally and physically, they aren't able to help themselves because their judgement is impaired. the colonel was a greedy bastard who took advantage of elvis's childlike innocence. he stole from him and worked him like a dog. got the poor man addicted to prescription opioids. elvis was an insomniac and got addicted to sleeping pills whilst in the army, but the opioids were all the colonel's ( and dr nick's) doing. despite all of the love that he had in his life, he felt lonely, which is why he always surrounded himself with people. to fill the void. i wish gladys had outlived vernon, because she would have never allowed any of that to happen. vernon was just as greedy as the rest of them, if you ask me. yet he still had the audacity to write "god saw he was tired, so he called him home" on his memorial site. god called him home because you allowed your son to be pumped full of drugs by a slave-driver of a con. tired my ass.

he was just a sad, lonely man. a poor boy at heart that made it big. he bought his friends cars, houses, animals- anything they could ever want. when his friend bill asked him why he was always giving things away he told him that "he didn't want to end up a grouchy old man, sitting on millions". he wanted to give and give and give, even when he had nothing left.

"i'm all out of dreams."

the colonel can literally suck my magnum size dong while vernon fondles my fat nuts.

part three of the “my bestest girl” series will be posted tonight ! then tomorrow i will be posting the final part of “fake dating” (kinda sad it’s ending, but i’ve got another plot for fake dating up my sleeve rn).

i’m not sure where i want to stop with the elvis series? you guys would want to see the wedding/babies/ and then liberation from the colonel, right? in any case, i’ve got five big fics in the works right now, two of which you babes have no idea about~
