I guarantee if Keefe would have been in Dex’s position when he went with Sophie and Oralie to open the cache Keefe would have figured out Oralie was Sophie’s mom.

How Dex didn’t figure it out… especially when Oralie tore out an eyelash is beyond me.

Keefe would have figured it out the second Oralie took of her dress and put her hair up (looking normal). Her pulling out an eyelash would have just confirmed his theory.

Keefe showing up as Sophie is about to go meet up with Vespra reminds me a lot of Sophie showing up when keefe tried to go to Ravagog alone in Neverseen. The parallels in how much they care for one another and making sure they don't do anything insane without one another🥹

The only way Sophie is going to beat the Neverseen is if she goes out and does it herself like she did with burning down the store house. Gisela even foreshadowed it in legacy by saying Sophie is way overpowered and would have defeated them already if it weren’t for her incorporating her friends which equals more moving parts. I’m ready to see more reckless Sophie who is bordering the line of good and evil.

I’m rereading the part in Legacy where Sophie and team Valiant are on the King’s path and I’m really hoping for Sophie to nearly end someone with her inflicting. This talk of her digging deeper into her inflicting has so much potential.

I want her to come so close to losing herself to inflicting that the council threatens exile and that’s when Grady has to call in Keefe

I don’t know how Keefe would help but I just want the stakes really high for when and why Keefe returns

You wanna know what I don’t get… why Fintain was never locked up in the first place. Like he killed five people when he tried to teach them how to call upon Everblaze, and all the council had him do was renounce pyrokinesis, and then he decided to remove himself from the council. Like hello, you all are the same people that tried to ruin a 12 year old little girls future by sending her to a second hand school because she didn’t pass one of her classes. They just let fintan roam around the lost cities until Sophie bottled everblaze and then the council decided hmm… maybe we should take the known arsonist into custody because he might have set these fires

I want to know why Brant and Fintan were, and probably still are so interested in Sophie. Rayni mentions it with her backstory but it still doesn’t make sense. I can kind of see why Brant would be interested because she was adopted to his ex fiancés family, but why Fintan?

What’s with Fintan’s fascination with Sophie?

Although I don’t stand with some of Ro’s methods, or her unnecessary butt-ins, I stand with her when she says as a bodyguard their job is to protect their charge. And in order for her to do that she doesn’t need to put trackers in Keefe’s clothes or mark him with an enzyme to track him. I just feel like Sandor putting trackers in Sophie’s clothes is an invasion of privacy. She didn’t even know when he put them in her clothes and he’s so smug about it as well.

Something just don’t sit right with me there.

Sophie really pieced this whole thing together after like 200 pages and everyone was like “nah, that don’t sound right.” And she was ACTUALLY CORECT! Her friends sucked this book. None of them truly had her back. It wasn’t until they took a step back and realized what they did was messed up.
