Check out this old soul. This lil buddy has about 450 million years on us. It’s in such great shape for how old of a fossil it is! It’s a Trilobite, specifically the Calymene species. When it was alive, it was a marine arthropod hanging out in the world’s oceans during the end of the Paleozoic period.
Back during their height, these little dudes were everywhere. They have been found with drilled holes from ancient cultures that suggest they were collected and worn as jewelry. They’ve also been found in some pretty old sites (around 50K years!) with other aspects of human settlement indicating they were collected way back then as well!
A little about its energetic feel.... Fossils in general are usually some of the best crystals you can work with to help facilitate and walk you through big changes. They are very valuable at helping one see the larger picture when it comes to personal growth, and helping you gracefully react to change.
Trilobites especially have been touted as good fossils to have around for those in positions of leadership. It once again helps with the big picture, and lends large amounts of patience and understanding to a work environment.
I also find fossils to be very grounding and calming.. Something about their age seems to give them a feeling of a wise old soul sitting next to you reminding you to keep trucking through life. Fossils definitely help teach you about yourself! And our planet! And how small and short a blip we are in the wide cosmos of things!
