My obsession with fossils and rocks continues. Here are two very similar trilobite fossils which we understand now to be primarily marine organisms. They were among the most successful of all early animals, existing in oceans for almost 270 million years and it is their exoskeleton that has now turned to stone. I love the texture and shape of these creatures and I have carefully drilled through the centre to create unique shaped beads with a fascinating story. They are paired with reclaimed dyed aqua lava beads. From the base hang sterling silver wires and I've caged raw labradorite, amazonite and rainbow titanium quartz stones in silver wire. From them hang a fresh water pearl, faceted labradorite bead and handmade grungy resin opal drops made in my caravan studio. These rustic oxidised sterling silver found object earrings measure a drop length of 11.5 cm. . . . #trilobite #trilobitejewelry #fossilearrings #fossiljewelry #wiccanearrings #earthlytreasures #rawlabradorite #rawamazonite #primitivejewelry #assemblageart #rusticearrings #weirdearrings #alternativejewellery https://www.instagram.com/p/CbcbB8kNEVi/?utm_medium=tumblr
