#1850: through history, there have been a lot of different cultures. drawing lines between these cultures is very difficult, perhaps futile or counterproductive, but it definitely helps us talk about them at least. one of the most notable of these cultures in Ancient Florida is the Clovis culture.
the Clovis culture was relatively short-lived (between 300 and 1,500 years) but was found all across North America, indicating a lot of different migration. the Clovis culture was such a radical change that for a long time the prevailing hypothesis (i'm not sure how commonly-held this is nowadays) was that the Clovis culture was the first culture in North America.
