“Don’t make any sudden movements...” She just noticed the wispmother behind them, maybe... maybe if they backed away slowly it wouldn’t attack.

When you can see the mountain rising sharp like a jagged tooth on the horizon, she can see you. Eyes made of stone cast their view over the whole snowy land. She holds up the sun that makes the ice glow so brightly white. When Haina travels to Winterhold she feels eyes itching at her back. She makes sure to always pass the mountain at full day or night, never dusk or dawn. Even when she reaches the town underneath Azura's gaze, in the hazy twilight hours she repeats prayers under her breath until her lungs are tired and the sky is black.
But you can't escape her forever and one day you will have to come close. Isn't her soul tied to Akatosh now? Azura must know that, but Haina still knows she's watching. She still knows she must visit the Daedra and apologize. Do rabbits, when about to die, present themselves to foxes and say they're sorry for being so hard to catch?
The Dunmer pulls her cloak around her as if it'll shield her from the Daedra's gaze. The statue looms above, casting long shadows in the dull, fading light. Someone new is at the shrine --- Haina hesitates. A human, is that? No long ears. She knows how they think of Daedra worship. She sinks to her knees on the stairs, frozen, unwilling to come any closer.
