So this was mostly just a “fuck around” project to practice detail but im pretty happy with it. The original goal was to make “Catherine, the Prismatic Guardian” though i went off track abit so i dont consider this a final design yet. 

Her lore also isnt very complete yet either since shes a Part 2 character and that whole story is only like 20% finished lol. The basic rundown though is shes a kinda doll with a soul in it created by Triolyn to combat the Ashen King (who is the antagonist in Part 2). She has command over a vast army of armored dolls similar to her but without souls (aka not sentient) that she controls all at once with ethereal/magical strings. Throughout the story she serves as a kind of teacher and kind-hearted mother figure to Felicity, taking care of her and improving her combat skills. Though when Felicity isnt around, she returns to her role as an emotionless but effective general of the Prismatic Legion.

A quick description of Souleaters before i go since ive never posted them before. they are basically what happens if souls cannibalize each other in the Hereafter, mutated zombie-like creatures with slimy skin and spiked legs. souleating is incredibly addictive to the point that its all they can think about at all times, even devouring each other if theirs no other victims. the underbelly variants specifically are servants to Vela’Quezal the Souleater Serpent, who they see as a god and who supplies them with fragments regularly.

“Cinder, of the Pumpkin Chariot” now redrawn on the tablet <3

The basic update to her lore is she was born with an affinity for all types of magic and an intense curiosity. She went to hundreds of different mage schools but found them all lacking, their teachings holding her power back. As a result, she became a rogue magus, wandering the lands in search of powerful tomes and charms to study. She survived nearly 200 years due to her power, and even resisted the terrible powers of the Fold that rippled across the world, but nobody lives forever. In one particular misadventure years after the Fold, she found her way into a hidden mountain city inhabited by monsters long forgotten to the world. Despite her attempts, their was no escape for her, so in a final show of power she set off a massive manabomb that obliterated her and the ENTIRE mountain. This effect left her soul in shreds, but the Fold allowed her study of soul magic that very few others knew. With these studies, she was able to find her missing pieces and literally rebuild her soul, although it left her irreversibly drained. Seeing as she was no longer the great magus she once was, she took to a life of a merchant instead, selling the many powerful trinkets she had acquired over the years and continues to acquire thanks to the help of some “acquaintances”. If you're ever in need of a powerful charm, simply seek out the Pumpkin Chariot.

Drawing i did of “Bahadur, the Eccentric Tactician”

Long ago, the mercenary named Bahadur was known all across the lands. His efficiency with his famous dual scimitars was unmatched, leaving no contract incomplete and no bounty unclaimed. However, no warrior lives forever, regardless of fame or power. Nobodies quite sure how it happened, whether it was do to misinformation or impossible odds. Yet on the field of battle he lay dead, his scimitars pierced through his back and his left arm dismembered. However, the legend lives on in the Hereafter, as the former mercenary now shares his vast knowledge of combat with the masses. Despite his missing arm, he never gave up on his beloved dual weaponry, claiming it to simply be a new challenge for him to overcome. He now simply juggles the two swords in combat instead, perfecting his new fighting style that earned his new “eccentric’ reputation.

Artists Note: Im pretty happy with this one despite how plain he is. If i could change one thing it would be his eyes cus they look alittle derpy lol
