new obsession unlocked: twining!
Amaryllis (dead), spider plant (dead), peace lily (dead) (split then whole), split green spider plant, assortment of finished cords onna stick, banana skin, rhubarb. So far I like twining the split green spider plant leaves and the rhubarb skin the best. I like making the thinnest cords possible so I can weave teensy tiny titchy ickle basketkins.
Mixed fibre basket
Made with most of the cordage I made out of dead leaves I picked off various houseplants. Now I harvest them green and dry them, which makes the materials easier to work with and nicer colours as well.
