"Elephant Abstractions" by Nancy Atkinson and Barbara Meunier of The Villages, Florida. Based on Violet Craft's pattern "Elephant Abstractions", the entire design (with the exception of the mouse) is foundation pieced. This fun quilt received a Judges Recognition ribbon. Build the perfect quilt with this free HC log cabin pattern!
My goal here is for 1,000 Log Cabin Squares ... I’ve made 836 so 164 to go. I’m planning on one more full round plus one extra row on each end. This has been an ongoing project for the past two years made only from scraps from my bin and others. Sewluvli found the 3″ stamp on eBay along with a 1/4 Log Cabin and a Flying Geese stamp after seeing a similar quilt at Quilts at the Creek. I’m off to a Quilting Retreat this weekend at Elim for 4 days and am so looking forward to it. I have four other projects to take away with me ... this one will stay at home but hope to have this top finished by the end of April.
