It always bothers me a little when they use a two dimensional model flipped in three dimensional space to explain how beings in the fourth dimension could affect us.
Yes, in a potentially imaginary four-dimensions + time model of the universe, an imaginary four-dimensional being can do to imaginary physical representations of us as 3D beings what we can do in our three-dimensional world to physical representations of imaginary two-dimensional creatures in a physical representation of an imaginary two-dimensional world.
But a lot of the explanations leave out the whole 'while this is sometimes mathematically useful, especially when you get into higher maths, it may deviate significantly from the reality in which we live, despite allowing us to model certain things fairly well' part.
