manuel is gay, lautaro is bi, tony is transfem, and marina thought she was straight until her boyfriend (tony) turned out to be trans (she doesn't exactly like women, but she does love tony regardless of her gender)

My only concern right now re: Volume 8 retreading and mirroring previous volumes is that Cinder death fakeouts, having happened twice now, by rule of three it has to be different. So either she dies (big RIP, I would be nursing a broken heart) or she’s saved. With the redemption seedlings, and the juicy, juicy premise of her being shown mercy by the ragtag group of heroes (I’m hoping it’s Jaune, that’s what my fic is about...), I genuinely think it might be the latter.

After all, I figured the possibility of a true death in V3 or V5 was unlikely, considering her character wasn’t finished with and there wasn’t a resounding lesson like with Pyrrha. We’d only just discovered her Grimm weakness in V3, and then her arm in V5.

Oh, I know! Rule-of-three is her arm is discovered by ragtags, and it gets Silver-Eye nuked and she’s saved! After all, these death fakeouts had stuff to do with her dark curse.

Yes it does not fail to amuse me that ANOTHER of my favourite characters is a princess-type with a dark curse who is committed to finding a way to escape her weaknesses through a false cause under the dominion of an evil ruler
