“Cuatro Cisnes” de Lago de los Cisnes
Swans on the boating lake at Fleetwood.
Swans make an ideal subject for novice wildlife photographers, because they come close in the hope that you might feed them.
Swan Dive
I’m loving Season 3 but episode 7 has me concerned about what’s to come. The swift change in the Ross-Demelza dialogue reminds of short cuts we found in season two. I’m especially worried about how the relationship with Hugh will be portrayed because it was so complex and so beautifully rendered in The Four Swans. Demelza and Ross talk about it early on and he doesn’t say it is in her head but that he relies on her good judgement. She even asks Ross for his support:
Ross said: “Does he touch you my love?”
She half glanced up at him, with a glint of embarrassment.
“Yes...”
“Deeply?”
“A little. His yes are so dark and sad.”...
...He put his arm round her shoulders, and quickly she leaned against him. “I see,” he commented. A tree in need of support!”
“Just a small matter shaken,” she said.
Full disclosure: I loved the books, I absolutely love the show, I do understand they are different entities and that changes have to be made for drama/efficiency.
Thinking about Four Swans and Hugh Armitage.
What kind of arrogant jerk are you when you think it’s okay to go after the wife of the man who busted your ass out of a prisoner of war camp when he could have left your sorry ass behind??
Bon allez, si tu ne connais pas la vrai version, je te laisse admirer les quatre danseuses de l’Opéra de Paris (je ne suis pas chauvine !) dont deux qui sont devenues étoiles aujourd’hui !
