I mean on one hand it makes sense for episode twelve to end with Viktor and Yuri both skating together to "Stay Close to Me" since the routine was so pivotal in episode one and also shows how far both characters have come emotionally over the season. On the other hand, Yurio won the gold so I can't tell if a) Yuri was meant to win gold but the show runners changed it once the show became popular enough people thought they might get a season two out of it or this is a screw logic we want to show them pair skating
I mean like I'm curious if this anime had two endings - one for if there was the chance of a season two and one for if there wasn't a chance for one or if this was always the game plan
