I'm Christian, not Catholic, but I'm going to observe lent this year. I don't see it as a mandatory thing, but the opportunity to push myself into getting closer with God (something I've been struggling with lately) can't be anything but beneficial. I'm going to give up tumblr so I'll have more time to worship and read my Bible in the mornings and evenings (which I usually blow scrolling through my dash and drooling over Tom Hiddleston).
