Since Owl didn't like his gift of a live snake, maybe he would like a DEAD snake instead? (silverfoxbleach)

From the unholy shrieks emanating from the arrancar’s quarters seemed to indicate that Owl did not like finding a dead snake in his bead. At first he’d thought it was another live snake and leapt from his bed, but no, upon closer inspection it was a corpse - a long, stringy, serpent’s corps. 

Owl stared at it for a good minute be for grabbing it by the middle and staring at it some more. Had the silver fox brought it to him as a kind of breakfast in bed? Or was it supposed to be one of his “new friends” despite being dead? Either way, there was no way it was staying in his bed, and he had to do something to stop this intrusion of his personal sleeping space.

“Gin!” he called, still holding the dead snake. “Gin, come here please.”

Since Owl didn't like his last gift, Gin decided to bring him an owl friend that he found. (silverfoxbleach)

The arrancar was legitimately at a loss as to how the silver fox had brought an unconscious but otherwise unharmed barred owl into his room. Fortunately, the raptors temperament was quite mild and he was able to feed it his left over mice. However, he was definitely going to have to release the bird back to its habitat... once he figured out where that was. It was such a beautiful creature, after all, and he hated the thought of it being killed by one of the other residents.

“Gin, I think we’d better find a safer place for our new friend to live. I’d hate to see anything bad happen to them while we were away.”

Owl let out a laugh before diving down to tickle his little fox friend. Oh, how he’d missed Gin’s shenanigans! And the touch of his fur. Gracious, who knew be trapped in transit would make one so touched starved!

“Oh, Gin, you naughty boy! Have you been eating my shoes while I’ve been gone?” he laughed running his fingers through the fox’s fur. “Have you been enjoying my affects? I bet you have!”

Oh, it was so good to be home!

Spotting the fox with his missing boot, Vander hurried forward and moved to pull it out of the little critter’s mouth. “Ah! Gin, no. No boots,” he said sternly, trying to retrieve his boot without damaging it too much. Quickly, the blond looked around and fumbled with his free hand to see if he could reach one of Gin’s toys. Finally he snagged a tug of war rope with a clear plastic ball at the end with what looked like one of his gyros inside.

“Here Gin, get the gyro!” Olivander goaded, wiggling the toy temptingly in hopes of saving his boot.

Sees a sleeping Owl on the bed. Decides to pounce on to look for shinies and cuddles. (silverfoxbleach)

The arrancar let out a startled cry and almost fell out of bed as something pounced on his head and began snuffling about his person. He blinked and sat up, his face taut with half-awake alarm.

“What in the-?” he stammered blinking away sleep as he looked down at the silver furball on his bed. “Gin? What in the-? Do you know what time...? No, of course you don’t. Foxes don’t keep time.”

Owl let out a groan and flopped back onto his pillow. “You won’t be finding any shiny bits tonight Gin,” he yawned, covering his mouth with a hand. “I’ve put them all away for safe keeping. But I must say, it is time for bed you know.”

He reached over and gave the silver fox an affectionate stroke down the back. “C’mon. Let’s get some sleep.”

All creatures are to their natures. For good or for ill. Simply being a snow-woman with a heart of ice would not make her any less alone, or unable to feel that loneliness. What measure are gods and monsters, after all?

Akio - Kitsune!Gin - calls his Conan 'Kit' or 'Kogitsune'.  Because Kudo Shinichi has a small amount of fox in his blood from several generations back, and - quite apart from how old he looks - Akio is well able to pick him up by the back of Conan's collar, in a similar way to a fox picking up his cub by the ruff of his neck.

Shinichi, of course, does not appreciate either the name or the action at all.
