Their eternal problem: Mirzam. No one, not even the Guardian, knows what to do with that guy.

Hawkmoth may have a pattern, but his colleague is much smarter than that: he creates illusions big and small, quiet and loud, mundane and flashy enough to trigger a seizure. One minute he's off the field, safely tucked behind a chimney or a gargoyle; the next he's in the throes of battle, unafraid to dance around a cataclysm. And some days, he isn't there at all.

Those days are probably the worst.

“It's a very smart use of Trixx's power! Unlike anything I've ever seen, and I've been around a looot of Foxes.” Tikki floats up and down like a petal in the wind. “It says something about Hawkmoth that they keep losing anyway.”

“Hey, don't go switching sides on me.” Alya is teasing, but is she really? “Mirzam loves surprises, but… I don't think he was too fond of the one he got yesterday.”

“Right. The intruder.” Plagg swallows the rest of his cheese in one go. “Let's talk about that.”

This story takes place in the universe where Scarabella and Kitty Noire are the main holders! There’s some change to the villains’ team, too: in this world, Hawkmoth’s sidekick is an annoyingly clever Fox Holder named Mirzam.

In their fight against this new threat, our heroines get some help from Sirius, the new holder of the Dog Miraculous, who sees right through the illusions and seems very intent on taking their enemy down. But can he really be trusted…?

Ok! Your fox and the dog au!!! I love it and I’m obsessed. I have thoughts. I don’t know how quite word it but I’m gonna try my best. If I’ve connected the dots wrong…my bad.

First of all I love it. Like I don’t know much about it but I’m hooked. So what I’m gathering so far is the Mirzam is the fox. And I think the fox is Felix. Which is so interesting.

And the fox is based on illusions. I find this really interesting for 2 points. (I’m pretty sure you picked the name deliberately but if you didn’t it’s one hell of coincidence.)

1) Mirzam is an Arabic name roughly translating to ‘the Herald’ so like a guiding light. And the fox is based on illusions. Which tends to imply deceit. So I love that juxtaposition!!

Also 2) it pairs well with the dog miraculous!!! Mirzam is the second brightest star in Canis Major. Which like. Not only is there the dog miraculous but like implies that Mirzam will not shine as bright as Sirius (which I believe is the name of the miraculous holder of the dog [which ahhhhhh Sirius is the brightest star in Canis Major!!]) or that Mirzam will stick to the shadows while being a guiding light!! And like Mirzam will guide Sirius. (Or at least that what I’m extrapolating)

Anyway I just saw the name Mirzam and I was like ooh Arabic name got excited and kind of word vomited so if not very coherent that’s why.

YES. Three of them, actually. Two were written super early on, so now it’s just a question of actually getting there! 🐶🦊

I’m a big fan of short stories with a twist ending, and how certain words take an entirely different meaning in hindsight. So I’m going to have a lot of fun peppering little clues here and there! 🧡
