CD Collection Game
Thank you @lizziemajestic for giving me more distractions from abelard fun tag games to think about
Rules: you just got a kind of shitty old car and it doesn't have bluetooth. you can only get 7 CDs and you can't repeat an artist. what are you getting?
The Horror and the Wild by The Amazing Devil - very difficult deciding between this and Ruin but this was the first album of theirs that I listened to and a lot of the songs there have a special place in my heart tbh...
Gloom Division by IDKHow - banger after banger, also excellent live
Wasteland, Baby! by Hozier - I actually have his first album in my actual car, but I think this one has really grown to be my favourite (annoyingly, since I stopped buying CDs. Should fix that probably.)
Slowly, It Dawns by Victoria Canal - saw her open for Hozier and I've been in love ever since
Build A Problem by Dodie - something for everyone in here. Delightful music and instrumentals.
In Between Dreams by Jack Johnson - yet another classic from an actual family car
The Best of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler - Technically this is two CDs, so I'm going to choose the first one I GUESS (once again, this was an actual family car banger album, last seen in my brother's car lol)
Tagging @swordbisexual @neatnete (or relevant sideblog) and @lustytyrefire if y'all want to <3
I, like I suspect a lot of people, make my create-a-character look a lot like me, at least for the first playthrough. I also try to make them, not necessarily my personality, but my priorities are usually a) the funniest option then b) the option that will be the best outcome for the situation or characters I care about then c) the option that will make the characters I dislike most the angriest.
In Dragon Age this works out to a lot of okay-looking red-headed (assassin-specialized) rogues who are incapable of taking anything seriously and think the Templar/Chantry treatment of mages is a travesty.
What this means is, in Origins, Cullen is saved from Uldred by a wise-cracking ginger rogue who tells him it’s his fault the mages went blood crazy.
The Circle is slowly rebuilt and Cullen gets transferred to Kirkwall because of PTSD issues, where he fits in well with Templars Who Really Hate Mages Like, Even More Than Normal. Things are pretty good for a few years, except every time there’s a little excitement, someone is on the periphery of it -- this redheaded woman with her pair of knives and big mouth, who is incapable of taking anything seriously except, apparently, mage rights. It’s not quite funny, because the last 5 years are not so far in the past that he can laugh at them, but there is a sense of deja vu when the Champion protects the Circle mages then sticks her daggers in the eyeballs of an abomination.
A few more years pass. Cullen goes to Haven with Cassandra and awaits the outcome of the Conclave. There is an explosion that gives Cullen a horrible flashback, and Cassandra goes to investigate, and eventually pulls out of the wreckage: a redheaded rogue whose first words upon being dragged in front of the war council in chains are “sarcasm.”
new realm with the gang allow me to introduce you to long melon and really long cactus
Slime Rancher
Great game, 10/10 nothing else to say.
Actually there’s plenty more to say. You play as a new rancher where, yes, you ranch slimes. There are so many varieties and I love them all. Pink ones, blue ones, tar monsters, ones that light up, cat slimes. They can also morph to create frankly adorable hybrids. I love them all and I want to have every single slime.
Fuck pink rock slimes though. Those big bastards can get the fuck off my ranch and stop harassing me forever.
There are plenty of slimes to discover and places to explore, and honestly a lot to do. It’s a fun game, and if you like the concept of something like Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon but don’t want to plant crops, this is definitely something to check out.
Look at this giant tabby. Big boy that if you feed enough will gift you with things. Like love and a whisper of true joy in these trying times.
