This is an incredible piece that @guardian-rocket had drew for me back in 2016. I used to have quite an active Fox McCloud Tumblr, and during that time it was incredible (all the RP’s I had). Of corse I really got to know the AWESOME MUN of this amazing Rocket, and we became AMAZING FRIENDS. During the time he had drew this for me, I was going through a very rough point in my life dealing with depression (amongst other things). I will forever love and be grateful for you, and our love for Rocket x Fox, and because of you I got so into GOTG. It’s so funny how I didn’t know anything about Rocket (Or Marvel) back then because I was too tapped into my own little world. I’m so glad I accepted your RP request, and I am so glad that we still have a wonderful bond. Thank you for still being an amazing friend to me and continue being awesome! (P.s. it’s good to be back)
I will always love and cherish this piece. 🥹👉🏻👈🏻
✨See you in the stars✨
Rocket had been counting the days since he found out Fox's birthday was coming up. While he had never celebrated his own birthday, he had familiarity with the whole celebration and how important it was. (Problem with his birthday was he didn't know what day it was.)
He slipped out of bedroom, stealthy as he could before Fox would notice a drop in body heat from the bed, and padded off to the kitchen to go whip up something for breakfast to the day started. He was no whiz in the kitchen but he could make a basic meal and knew how seasoning worked. He worked quietly and quickly making Fox one of the fanciest breakfast things Quill had taught him to make: an omelet, and of course a good cup of coffee for both of them, and set the table up with all the works, napkins, forks, everything needed for a very practical breakfast.
Surprised that Fox hadn't woken up from the sound of him clinking around the kitchen, Rocket went back to the bedroom to wake him up, giving him a purposeful nudge.
"Hey birthday boy," he murmured in an almost sing-song teasing tone. "Get up, breakfast is ready."
Fox stirred, groaning softly as he felt the gentle nudge. His ears twitched, picking up Rocket's teasing tone, and a sleepy smile spread across his face. He stretched, yawning as he heard the voice of his adoring raccoon. "Mmm, morning, Rocket," Fox mumbled, his voice still thick with sleep. "Birthday, huh? You remembered?" He followed with a light chuckle.
He sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, and swung his legs over the side of the bed. The smell of the food wafting in from the kitchen finally hit him. "Breakfast, huh?" he whispered, leaning in to plant a gentle kiss upon his lover's furry cheek. "I'm excited to see what you made."
Before he stood up, he gently ruffled the top of Rocket's head-fur, scratching behind one of his ears lovingly. He was very thankful for the simple things.
As Fox sluggishly made his way towards the kitchen, dressed only in his boxer-briefs, he was still trying to wake himself up. He scratched the back of his head, yawning once again. When he stood in the doorway, he saw a perfectly set table with a steaming cup of coffee and a beautifully made omelet. He loved how Rocket's little details were evident in everything.
"Rocket," Fox said softly, a thoughtful tone in his voice as a smile spread across his lips as his tail swayed elegantly.
He took a seat at the table, observing the spread in front of him. "You really went all out. And coffee, too. You know the way to my heart," Fox said, smiling with joy as he looked at Rocket, his eyes filled with affection.
