According to the Official Phighting wiki "Unlike humans, they are completely hairless, except for those with animal gears, who can possess tails and other such features related to their respective gear." so the idea of an Inphernal thinking that the reader just had an animal gear and hard to see nubby horns is deeply entertaining to me
That is true!
Though, Medkit already ran his hands through the human's hair and found no sources or nubs for horns, plus the human lacks any animal-like characteristics like ears, claws, teeth, and tails.
So, they still stand out despite there being animal-like Inphernals with certain attributes to beasts. The human just stands out a little too much for Inphernals to recognize as some type of animal.
