under NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, she wouldn’t be here. it’s dangerous for her to be anywhere near him. and if anyone but ann had come to her, she would have left well enough alone. his misery isn’t her business anymore. but it is when it affects their daughter. she probably SHOULDN’T let herself in, but she does. and she can immediately see why ann’s concerned.
her daughter has OBVIOUSLY kept the place clean as best she can, but there’s still far too much clutter for her liking. it isn’t hard for her to find him. she knows he’ll be hiding in the back room somewhere. she gently pushes open the door and sighs when she sees him. ❝ JESUS, fox, ❞ she sighs, ❝ what the hell have you gotten yourself into ? ❞

“You… don’t recognize me, Samantha?” His world crashed down upon him when he heard her say that. “It’s me. It’s your big brother, Fox.” His voice was pleading, hoping beyond reason that she would recognize him, that she would remember who he was.
Same pushed her glasses up on the bridge of her nose as she stared at the man standing before her. “Why should I? I’ve never seen you in my life. How do you know my name?” she asked, shaking her head. “I don’t have a brother. I haven’t for years...” At least that’s what they told her. Why would they lie?

“i know what this looks like,” she’s got her feet on the desk, so yeah, if it looks like she’s taken over his office, she sort of has. “dana let me in?”
she let out a soft giggle ( a giggle ! ) as she curled herself into him, BARE LEG draped over his and her face nuzzled into his chest. ❝ you know...i think i might learn to like the new millennium after all. ❞

“I thought a gunshot would hurt worse,” she said. She was surprised how clear headed she was right now. Or at least she felt clear headed. “Did you make sure my mom was safe? She’s not coming right? She’s somewhere safe where that walking cancer stick can’t get her.”

It’s easy enough to sneak into government buildings on any planet. Public officials, especially those on the lowest rung of the proverbial ladder, never really seem to care about the posts that they tend to. Bit of psychic paper and a smile were enough to get her past the security check at the Hoover Building. She didn’t even need to empty out her pockets before she passed through the metal detector, something that later turned out to be a mistake, since that technology doesn’t really care whether or not the carrier of an entirely steel sonic screwdriver had shown anyone an important-looking bit of paper. She had made it through the doors eventually, but she had had to leave her sonic in the care of a guy named Carl. Hopefully he won’t lose it. That’s a headache that she doesn’t really want today. Or any day, really. After a couple wrong turns and an unfortunate run-in with a particularly nosy group of tourists, the Doctor eventually makes her way down to the basement. She had heard that there were interesting things going on down there. She pokes her head in without bothering to knock first. She had hoped that the office would have been empty so that she could snoop properly, but as long as there’s somebody here, there’s no shame in starting a conversation. Maybe he could answer some of the questions that she has. “Hi, sorry, looking for something called the x-files?”
