I'm back at it again with a new fic people!!! And this time it's Oka Shokichi and Kaoru Sakurayashiki (or as I know them, FoxBlossom, either platonic or romantic, but for now we are looking at more platonic... but it's complicated)
This time we have 1 chapter of predicted 3-5 uploaded (as I have faced laptop struggles and need it fixed so won't have access for 2 weeks and I still want to get something of this progress out)
But without further ado, allow me to explain!!

Honestly writing for these two is so fun, like they just have an energy that can bounce off of eachother, with less collateral damage than matchablossom but still just that right amount of tension and teasing
Perfect for that just out of highschool feeling, where there's nothing defined going on, but like... maybe
.
Also, I placed them at 19/21 with Oka being slightly older here, as I just saw it fit honestly based on how they both are as people, and in canon I'd say Oka seems a little older than Kaoru and Kojiro (but that may just be because of how he is, as he definitely is still in his 20s)
I fear i may have a bit of a ship/platonic ship agenda right now 🙏
Almost always do I find myself making up rarepairs (didn't make it up i found it on tiktok but we ignore)
So now
May i present Kaoru and Oka (or FoxBlossom as people may call them)
Because they are cuties, plus more recognition for underrated characters (Oka)
And, engineering nerds (bc carla and dope sketch) who must stick together
I see them having a history in either HS or Uni, bonding over engineering with Kaoru working in Dope Sketch at some point

Some day (we'll meet again): Upon seeing a familiar kid to him getting bullied, Kaoru steps in, only to find out this is a kid he saw in the streets the other day (Reki), and from there they get to know eachother and enjoy the presence of eachother much more than Kaoru may expect giving his typical opinion on children (Inspired by OVA)
Tinker - Tinker ch1: Where Kaoru is fixing his board up only to be ambushed by Reki once more, demanding he fix his board for him (inspired by a Madds Buckley song)
Clockwork Retaliation - Tinker ch2: A familiar face that Kaoru has been avoiding for weeks just so happens to find him outside of dope sketch, into which they go inside, and a little angst begins (yes this is the Kaoru oka stuff)

And here we are back with this fic again! In which i somehow doubled the previous wordcount
I love this a little too much (even if they are still very "totally platonic"/ref)
This is the last angsty chapter (i think) for this fic, but if there is anything people specifically want to see then absolutely do say it because I love messing with characters like this (common ao3 author playing with dolls vibe)
