Trans Kaoru (angst ish) art!!

Ramble below:

I just couldn't help but create something like this after going back through my trans playlist trying to find inspo for a fic (especially because I may have been having my own irl trans angst and am actively writing a trans kaoru fic for pride so this seems like a great opportunity for more silly art)

Also, I decided to mess around with a lineart style for this because the messiness really calls to me in how the struggles themselves feel!!

Otherwise I don't have much to say apart from happy pride, and be safe out there given the state of ... well... everything a (which I may go into more depth about with topics in my pride fic when that is up!!)

+ a song for this!! (Aka. What I was listening to making this and hence what I envisioned Kaoru listening to and I have reasons and can break down the lyrics if anyone wants me to)

I am now realising the hair lengths don't match for S and casual... let's ignore that!!

But just hear me out, Kaoru, but he went on to pursue his more mechanical side of his interests

Also yes, had to add the HC of Kojiro's necklace being a piece of Kaoru's old board

Also, I did try my best to include his usual colour palette so hopefully it worked out well!!

And as always I decided to mess around with yet another shading style with fun colours

Picture me this, (or don't if you don't like angst, this is your warning) ~ audio in vid

Kojiro Nanjo had ran to the side of his best friend (or even lovers as some may see them), the person he'd been beside for years - 23 to be exact. Kaoru Sakurayashiki, under the guise of Cherry Blossom, had been brutally hit by Adam's skateboard. The hit had struck him hard, more force in it than Adam had ever typically used on previous opponents, he'd been practicing.

Yet, when Kojiro made it to Kaoru's side, begging him to get up, all that was left was the faint thudding of a heart that slowly grew quiet. All he could do was scream.

The winner was meant to take it ALL, right?

Well Adam had certainly won, and he had taken EVERYTHING from Kojiro. His whole world.

And the last thing Kaoru Sakurayashiki had seen?

It was the word "LOVE", bold and beautiful, heading right towards him.

How ironic.

A random paragraph of a WIP back from 09/25 that I picked back up and have started adding more to on the side of my other 9 billion projects (i must motivate to write more i swear)

Yet, Kaoru was never subtle enough. He was right in saying Oka knew him too well; the guy had immediately glanced over at him, eyes narrowing before softening, so to not pick too much fault with his eyes and put Kaoru off. "You good?"

However this time we bring Reki into the mix and some fun, chaotic, and maybe a little angsty interactions between (11yo) Reki and (19yo) Kaoru

Being laptop-less really means I gotta get creative with my content 😭

(I keep seeing these of characters on Pinterest and just gotta do one myself)

Also tried a new type of shading for fun

Fun fact: The only time you'd catch him in traditional wear is for Kaoru's events

Extra information (nerd corner): I used Kaoru's S symbol in a new way, as I discovered that it closely resembles the design of Japanese Fanily Crests (Kamon)

This is theoretically meant to be a tier-2 event, not the most formal but certainly quite formal, and hence Ousuke is wearing 3 Kamon (one per sleeve and one on his back)

Tier-3 would have meant there would also be one on either side of the chest

Kamon are visible on both Haori and Kimono

Colours:

Purple - History with high ranks, but now used for more of a wealth status (less formal, still resembling social status)

Black - Dignity, formality, eligence (strictly for formal events)

White - Purity and formality (not as strict)

But also i think they compliment eachother well, and also Ousuke's color pallete

I know the signature isn't great, I am (unfortunately) not a calligrapher, so that is not my strength (failure on my side as a Kaoru kinnie i say)

Eve Reki AU

Aka Sk8 but Reki catches Adam’s eye instead of Langa

Oh man I just saw someone pull up the side by side comparisons of Cherry full on laughing as a teen and then the first time we see that again as an adult when he’s gotten away from Adam.

And I’m just thinking of that with Reki in this Au. Reki who was so full of light and joy before Adam crossed his path and the first time he’s friends see that light in his eyes after they’ve become so dull.

Them all seeing Reki laughing and having fun skating again after getting him away from Adam 🥹
